Our Saturday EFL Goals Acca Predictions

Four picks combined return 11/1

Another Soccer Saturday

If you like your football to be of more a domestic persuasion, then we have four of very best goal bets to whet your appetite.

Hughes Playing Today

The first of our four clashes takes us to Valley Parade, as Bradford play host to Grimsby and on the evidence of the first six matches, it is fair to say that the Bantams have yet to hatch for the season ahead.

Especially as Mark Hughes’s men have scored just four goals this season and find themselves in the bottom half of the table. While opponents Grimsby have conceded just five from their first half dozen of league outings.

Two statistics that do not lead to an abundance of goals in West Yorkshire on Saturday or at least in my opinion anyway. To get things underway, I am backing no more than two in the lunchtime televised game and this is priced at 17/20.

A Long Journey

Next up we go to the Broadfield Stadium, as Crawley play host to Newport and the West Sussex outfit’s defence has come under some heavy fire in the past two weeks. 180 minutes of football played, no less than nine goals conceded.

This is certainly a headache for manager Scott Lindsay, but he will at least take solace from his players scoring three of their own at Stockport last weekend. Not quite enough to earn maximum points but it does show that goals can be scored as well as conceded.

Something that Newport have not been shy in doing this season. They have already scored 14 and conceded 10. The Rodney Parade outfit are never dull, and this is why I am backing over 2.5 goals at odds of 17/20.

The Hollywood Stars

Now we are off to the Racecourse Ground, as Wrexham play host to Doncaster and if you want entertainment then this is the place to go in League Two. Phil Parkinson’s men have already scored 15 goals and have shipped 14 at the opposite end.

The kind of tallies that not even a Hollywood scriptwriter could come up with, as the North Wales outfit have already seen a 5-5 draw and a 5-3 defeat on home soil, and this makes their 4-2 home win over Walsall look rather ordinary.

While opponents Doncaster would strive for ordinary at the moment, currently bottom of League Two before the weekend’s events and averaging two goals against per game. Therefore, over 3.5 goals is certainly the way forward for this one.

The Top Two

While my final pick takes me to stadium:MK, as MK Dons play host to Notts County in a top of the table clash – quite the achievement when you consider that the visitors were promoted out of the National League last season.

Going into the game, it is Luke Williams’s men who find themselves top by a point and are also unbeaten in their last five. Four of those have come in the shape of victory, hosts MK Dons have also won four games themselves.

However, it has been a case of win or bust for Graham Alexander’s side. Two defeats have gone alongside those four wins, the word draw is not in their vocabulary and because of this, I am backing over 2.5 total goals at odds of 3/5.

While if you put all four combinations together, Bet365 are prepared to offer you 11.32/1 in return.
