Three selections for Sunday matches across Europe

Espanyol v Barcelona – Away win and to nil

We have a local derby to look forward to this weekend with Espanyol colliding with Barcelona.

However, the fortunes of the two teams couldn’t be much starker, with Barcelona on the precipice of lifting another La Liga title as they are 13 points clear of Real Madrid, while Espanyol are trying to stave off relegation.

Although Barca announced Sergio Busquets will bring to an end his 18-year decorated spell at the Camp Nou following the conclusion of the season, Xavi’s charges have conceded just twice in their past five La Liga outings.

Espanyol should be easy fodder, and for my first pick, I am siding with Barcelona to claim three points and keep a clean sheet, which is priced at 7/4.

Monza v Napoli – Away win

Napoli have taken Serie A by storm and they are still enjoying their title celebrations – it has been a long wait, but the fans will agree the pain has been worth it.

They could have let up over the past few weeks, but apart from a 1-0 defeat away to AC Milan, Napoli have continued to pick up results.

Monza are safely ensconced in mid table, but it is hard to see them troubling the visitors.

Napoli should come away with a victory, which is available at a very short 8/11.

RB Leipzig v Werder Bremen – Home win and BTTS

Although the chances of overhauling Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are virtually impossible, RB Leipzig have had a terrific season, and they have a German Cup Final to look forward to next month.

Christopher Nkunku has been in blistering form, netting 19 times in all competitions, and he will be sure to give the Werder Bremen back four a good working over.

Bremen have been disappointing this term, and while there is no immediate fear of them going down, Leipzig should prove to be too strong.

To round things off, I have gone with Leipzig to clinch victory and BTTS which is carrying a tempting price of 8/5.
