La Liga Sunday Acca

Four Picks From La Liga Sunday Matches

Spanish Final Day

If you are looking to Spain for your Sunday betting fix, then we have four of our very best La Liga bets to pique your interest.

The Toughest Task

The first of our four clashes takes us to the northwest corner of Spain, as Celta play host to Barcelona. The hosts are one of six teams looking to avoid the drop on the final day, the visitors have already been crowned this season’s La Liga champions.

Of the six teams that are aiming to steer clear of the second tier, it is fair to say that Carlos Carvalhal’s men have the most difficult job of all, and they may have to hope that their Catalan opponents dial down the intensity in the city of Vigo.

Then again, Xavi’s men did nothing of the sort when at home to Mallorca last weekend and they will want to end the season with a flourish. The best way to do that is with a win on the road and it is the best way to start this acca at odds of 6/4.

Race For Second

Next up we go to the Santiago Bernabeu, as Real Madrid play host to Athletic Bilbao and although the race for the La Liga title has long been run, Los Blancos are still fighting to be considered the best of the rest.

Before events unfold on Sunday, Real are a single point ahead of their crosstown rivals Atletico and know that a win would guarantee second place without having to worry about how Diego Simeone’s men fare at Villarreal.

Not only that, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side have won each of their last four home league outings and their opponents have failed to win any of their last three on the road. A combination of factors that points towards home advantage and this is what I am backing at odds of 10/11.

Last Day Drama

Now we are off to the RCDE Stadium, as an already relegated Espanyol are playing host to an Almeria side who are doing their best not to join them. Like Celta above, Almeria know that a win would remove any fears of dropping down a division.

Thankfully for Rubi and his players, the fixture computer has been incredibly kind to this Almeria team. Espanyol’s own bid to avoid relegation was foiled last week, as they were held to a 2-2 draw at fellow strugglers Valencia.

In fairness to Sunday hosts, they have picked up five points from the last nine on offer, but it is now a case of too little too late – something that will only play into Almeria’s hands further and therefore, I am backing the away win at odds of 11/8.

Europa League Hangover

While my final pick takes me to San Sebastian, as Real Sociedad play host to the newly crowned Europa League holders Sevilla, and it is their midweek success which will only tip the balance of power further towards the hosts.

As far as Sevilla’s season is concerned, it is very much job done. Champions League football secured regardless of whether they finish anywhere between seventh and twelfth in the final La Liga table.

Not only that, but there was the small matter of extra time and penalties in Budapest, and this will either mean heavy or rotated legs for Real Sociedad to deal with. Something that should make rather easy for Imanol Alguacil’s side, and this is why I am backing the home win at 8/11.

While if you put all four combinations together, Bet365 are prepared to offer you 18.57/1 in return.
