Lazio v AC Milan Betting Tips

As Milan’s grip on the Scudetto becomes looser by the week, their ambition has switched from defending last season’s Serie A crown to making sure they are once again playing amongst Europe’s elite.

Something that although looks probable is by no means a foregone conclusion either and with just four points separating Stefano Pioli’s men in second to Lazio in sixth, their midweek meeting looks set to be a rather enticing one.

Especially as Juventus has been kicked out of the European mix and with the table taking a substantial change after their recent points deduction, Lazio’s own hopes of Champions League action have been given a massive boost.

Which is why Simone Inzaghi’s side will look to build on the resurgence that they have been given and with both they and Milan playing last in this current round of Serie A fixtures, the Stadio Olimpico outfit could find themselves back in the top four by the end of Tuesday.

However, such a feat will be easier said than done and with their upcoming opponents currently unbeaten in six Serie A outings, the red and black half of Milan will be primed and ready to extend that run to seven.

With that said, the defending champions did slip up in their last league outing and after going 2-0 down to lowly Lecce, it would need a spirited comeback to make sure they left the Stadio Via del mare with a share of the points.

While Lazio’s last Serie A appearance made for far better reading and with a trip to Sassuolo taking place on the Sunday before last, a routine 2-0 win would soon be recorded into the history books.

Goals from Mattia Zacagni and ex-West Ham midfielder Felipe Anderson would prove to be the difference a week or so ago and the former of the two has certainly carried the goalscoring load while Ciro Immobile still struggles with fitness.

Zacagni has scored seven times already this season and has scored in each of Lazio’s last two league outings and at odds of 7/2 to make it three in a row, this will be the first selection on Tuesday’s evening betting slip.

Mattia Zacagni to score anytime - 7/2

The in form man looks worth following again

A goal for Lazio but not one that is enough to derail Milan and because of their impressive current form, it is incredibly difficult to look past them in terms of the match outcome and with away success on its own looking to skinny for me, I have approached this from a different angle.

Zacagni to open the scoring for Lazio but Milan to finally go up through the gears and win from behind. That is how I see things panning out and therefore, I am backing this outcome at odds of 9/1.
