Just 48 hours after the previous EPL round concluded at Elland Road, we are getting more top-tier action on Friday night.
First game on the menu is taking place in London where out-of-form West Ham United seeks three huge points against Brentford FC who caused a lot of trouble for Tottenham on Boxing Day.
Second match of the day is promising a lot of action and hopefully goals at Anfield where Liverpool faces Leicester City. Here are our top two goal-scorer predictions for the day:
- WEST HAM v Brentford – Jarrod Bowen to score anytime
- LIVERPOOL v Leicester City – Darwin Nunez to score anytime
- Total Odds – 7/1
West Ham vs Brentford – Jarrod Bowen @ 14/5
Monday’s 1-3 defeat to Arsenal was 4th consecutive for David Moyes and West Ham United. There are even rumors that he might be sacked within a few weeks unless the results get better drastically. The fans can’t be happy with the current 16th position and 14 points total, which is just one above the relegation zone. Michail Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca have been struggling with minor injuries and form, and there are no guarantees that any of them will start Friday’s duel against Brentford.
The team’s biggest stars right now are Jarrod Bowen and Declan Rice. Bowen should represent a massive danger for the Bees. He scored only two goals so far this season, significantly less in comparison to 2021/22 when he had 12 EPL goals. His name appeared in last season’s head-to-head duel against this opponent in London. Brentford’s defensive numbers are horrendous, allowing 27 goals in 16 games. West Ham has to be aggressive here and we can definitely see them score at least two goals.

Liverpool vs Leicester City – Darwin Nunez @ 11/10
After keeping five clean sheets in six Premier League games before the World Cup break, Leicester’s fans were in shock seeing their team down by three goals against Newcastle United after only 32 minutes of play. That surely triggered some painful memories from the early stages when the Foxes conceded an absurd number of goals (2-6 loss to Tottenham, 2-5 vs Brighton, 2-4 against Arsenal). Things are hardly going to be any better this Friday at Anfield as Leicester faces in-form Liverpool.
The Reds had at least six huge goal opportunities in their last appearance against Aston Villa but scored “only” three goals. With so many names on the injury list, Jurgen Klopp is limited to a few rotation possibilities. Darwin Nunez did miss several chances in Birmingham but looked tireless and fierce. We fancy the 11/10 odds on the Uruguayan striker to beat Danny Ward at least once. Right now he sits at five goals in ten appearances.
