Four Picks For The Final Round of The Season

Wednesday Night Foursome

If you are looking for your midweek betting fix, then we have four of our very best Wednesday bets to whet your appetite.

In Their Hands

The first of our four clashes takes us to Pittodrie as Aberdeen play host to St Mirren and although Barry Robson’s men suffered defeat at the hands of Hearts last Saturday, they still find themselves lying third in the table.

A positive combination of results in midweek could see them not only secure third in the table but also guarantee some form of European group stage football next season. If they get the better of St Mirren and Hearts fail to win at Rangers, the race for third is complete.

Coming into this encounter, St Mirren have failed to win any of their last five league outings and their own hopes of European football are slipping away. Therefore, they could act as the perfect opposition for Aberdeen, and this is why I am backing the home win at odds of 10/11.

Tense Nervous Headaches

Next up we go to Tannadice as Dundee United play host to Kilmarnock and with this being a massive relegation six-pointer at the bottom of the table, it also has all the hallmarks of a rather cagey affair.

The hosts are averaging 1.3 goals when looking at their last 20 home league fixtures. The visitors are averaging just 0.5 when looking at their last 20 missions away from Rugby Park – not a pair of numbers that necessarily excite you before the game gets underway.

Both teams desperately need a win but how desperate are they going to be in trying to get it? That is the conundrum that needs to be solved and the simplest way to do so, is by backing under 2.5 goals at 10/11.

Ross The Boss

Now we are off to Dingwall as Ross County play host to St Johnstone. The beauty of the Scottish Premiership split is that it throws up relegation drama every week and another chapter is set to be written at Victoria Park on Wednesday.

Malky Mackay’s men find themselves two points off the bottom but also currently in the relegation playoff position. St Johnstone are now all but safe from any dangers of the drop and this means they can dial down the intensity ever so slightly.

Something that Ross County’s players will be looking to take full advantage of in just a few hours and with Malky Mackay’s men having won two of their last three league outings, I am backing them for further success at odds of 23/20.

Pushing For Third

While my final pick takes me to Ibrox as Rangers play host to Hearts and after Steven Naismith’s men picked up a hugely important win over Aberdeen at the weekend, they will now look to continue their newfound momentum.

However, they find themselves going up against a Rangers side who have generated something of a recent resurgence. Admittedly they have had nothing to play for but that has not stopped them recording three successive league wins.

A win for Hearts on enemy territory is always going to be something of a tall order but they will certainly have to roll the dice on Wednesday. Which is why I anticipate a rather exciting encounter and one that produces at least three total goals at odds of 4/9.

While if you put all four combinations together, Bet365 are prepared to offer you 10.31/1 in return.
