Serie A 11/1 Double Bet For Monday 27th February

Game Week 24 in Italian Serie A is going to be wrapped up on Monday with two interesting match-ups.

The action will start at Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadio where Hellas Verona welcomes Fiorentina. This is going to be another attempt of the home team to exit the relegation zone and get some breathing space. Viola could get themselves in danger with a couple of more back-to-back losses as well. The second game is happening in the capital where Lazio welcomes Sampdoria. Here is our double and the reasoning behind it.

  • Verona vs Fiorentina – Draw
  • Lazio vs Sampdoria – Lazio to win & Both teams to score
  • Total Odds – 11/1

Serie A Predictions For Monday

Our Serie A Monday Double

Verona vs Fiorentina - Draw

Hellas Verona have collected only 17 points from their 23 Serie A games so far, sitting in 18th place. That is just two short from Spezia and the safe zone. Their results in 2023 have improved drastically and especially from late January until now. The Mastiffs have earned two victories (against Lecce and Salernitana), two draws (versus Udinese and Lazio), and lost just one match to AS Roma in the last five league appearances. Two out of the last four have ended without a winner, which is why we see value in the draw here.

Fiorentina were successful in UEFA Conference League playoffs, eliminating Sporting Braga 7-2 on aggregate. Things are not looking so bright when it comes to domestic obligations though. Viola is one of the biggest disappointments in the ongoing season, grabbing only 25 points from 23 games, which is eight above Hellas Verona. Both sides would be happy to share the spoils on Monday.

Lazio vs Sampdoria - Lazio to win & Both teams to score

Sampdoria’s downfall continues and there is a very small chance of avoiding relegation to Serie B this season. The squad from Genoa has suffered another league defeat last weekend at home, losing 1-2 to Bologna. The arrival of Serbian head manager Dejan Stankovic didn’t change the results much. The Blucerchiati are sitting in 19th place with just 11 points from 23 games, so they will need a high win rate in the remaining 15 rounds to survive.

As for their upcoming hosts, Lazio SS were happy to hear about a 15 points penalty issued by the Italian FA to Juventus, which means they are once again back in the race for the Top 4 spots. The Sky Blues are 5th right now and hoping to take advantage of Sampdoria’s poor shape. Lazio are decent at home, but they rarely keep the net intact. I will stick to the home win and both teams to score.
