European Acca Tips

Four picks combined return 11/1 this Sunday

Round The Continent

If you are looking for an exciting Sunday wager, then we have four of our very best European bets to whet your appetite.

The Italian Capital

The first of our four clashes takes us to Italy, as the new Serie A season gets underway, and my focus takes me to the meeting of Roma and Salernitana. The Romans once again go into battle with Jose Mourinho as the general and he will look to improve on last season’s sixth place finish.

A finish that saw Roma finish some 27 points off the Napoli pace and although European football was once again delivered, there was also the disappointment of losing the Europa League final just a couple of months ago.

Now it is time to put that disappointment behind them and it is fair to say that the fixture computer has been rather kind to the hosts. Salernitana only finished 15th last season and a Roma home win seems a logical conclusion at odds of 8/15.

The German Capital

Next up we are off to Berlin and although it was a terrible season for Hertha, the same cannot be said about Union. Everyone loves a football underdog story and theirs will write a new chapter in this season’s edition of the Champions League.

A chapter that is created by virtue of last season’s fourth place Bundesliga finish and with them only being nine points behind eventual and perennial champions Bayern Munich, Urs Fischer will now look to continue that momentum into this new campaign.

Sunday sees them having to deal with the visit of Mainz. They only managed a midtable and ninth place finish last time around and I do not see them having the power at the weekend. The pick here is another home win at odds of 19/20.

The Monegasque Capital

Now we are off to Monte Carlo, as Monaco will look to avoid a bust at the hands of Strasbourg. However, both teams got off to an ideal start in the opening weekend of the new Ligue 1 season, both teams will now be looking to make it two wins from two.

Hosts Monaco acted as chief tormentors of Clermont Foot, as they eventually recorded a 4-2 win on enemy territory. As for the Strasbourg side who is now part of the Chelsea ownership model, they earned a relatively surprising 2-1 home win over Lyon.

Strasbourg look like a team that are certainly going to put a few noses out of joint, but I do not see them with blood on their hands this Sunday. Monaco may be the kings of the both teams to score but I am backing league win number two for them at odds of 4/5.

The Catalan Capital

While my final pick takes me to the Catalunya, as Barcelona play host to Cadiz. Last weekend saw Xavi’s men held at Getafe and with that draw there were plenty of European accumulator betting slips being subsequently ripped up.

A stuttering start by the defending champions and now they will look to be in full voice for their temporary surroundings. The Camp Nou is currently under construction and the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Company will play the role of home for this season.

Manager Xavi has been busy trying to construct a team that can defend the La Liga crown that was won last season and Cadiz should offer the perfect opposition for a first home win. No value in backing that but value in backing Barca in both halves at odds of 11/8.

While if you put all four combinations together, Bet365 are prepared to offer you 11.78/1 in return.
