Four picks from European top leagues return 11/1 this Sunday

A Champions Tour

If you are looking for a saucy Sunday wager, then we have four of our very best European bets to whet your appetite.

The Dutch Champions

The first of our four clashes takes us to Rotterdam and the home of the defending Eredivisie champions Feyenoord. Manager Arne Slot was targeted by Tottenham during their hunt to a name a successor to Antonio Conte, it now seems as if the Dutchman made the right decision in staying.

No Kane for Spurs, the Champions League for Feyenoord this season and Sunday sees them get a new domestic campaign underway when they welcome Fortuna Sittard through their doors – a side that finished 13th out of 18 teams last time around.

With the champions being at home, you are not going to get anything in the way of value when backing the home win in isolation. Therefore, I have made things interesting by backing the Feyenoord win to nil and this is priced at odds of 10/11.

The Spanish Champions

Next up we are off to sunny Spain and the start of a new La Liga campaign for champions Barcelona. After returning to the summit of Spanish football just a few months ago, the task will be to stay there.

A task made harder by the arrival of Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid, but one that manager Xavi and his players will certainly be up for having a crack at and Sunday sees them have a crack at fellow Madrid-based outfit Getafe.

Getafe were one of the many teams that found themselves embroiled in a relegation battle just a couple of months ago and this is why Barcelona will be keen to get off to an ideal start. Therefore, I am backing my second win to nil of the foursome and once again it is priced at 10/11.

The Swiss Champions

Now we are off to Switzerland and a Swiss Super League campaign that is only three weeks in. Our focus is on another set of defending champions and Young Boys’ trip to the Swissporarena in Luzern.

After three rounds of the season, Young Boys currently find themselves second in the table on seven points and it is only FC Zurich’s better goal difference that is stopping them from claiming top spot.

Opponents and hosts Luzern have been the perfect example of a mixed bag thus far, picking up a win, draw and loss in their opening three outings. This has all the signs of an away win, even if both teams may eventually score but the away win on its own is currently priced at 10/11.

The Austrian Champions

While my final pick takes me to the Bundesliga. Not the German one but its Austrian cousin instead. With it being a champions tour this Sunday, the only team in the spotlight is none other than RB Salzburg.

Just like Bayern Munich in Germany, RB Salzburg have won each of the last 10 editions of the Bundesliga in Austria. The team that is backed by the energy drink Red Bull has certainly been full of fizz in the past decade.

Sunday sees them play host to an Austria Vienna side that eventually finished fifth once the play-off phase of last season came to close. I’ve taken more risk with my other three picks; the reward should be a home win at odds of 2/5.
