Premier League Betting Tips

Here’s three betting tips for the Premier League this weekend.

10/1 Man Utd v Man City Bet Builder

Sam has a 10/1 bet builder for the Manchester Derby

Expect fireworks at Old Trafford in the early game for the much anticipated Manchester derby. United fans will be hoping for a much improved performance compared to their 6-3 defeat at the Etihad the last time the sides met. Marcus Rashford could have a big role to play if the Red Devils are to come away with a result given his impressive form during and since the World Cup. No Premier League player has scored more goals since the World Cup with seven goals, three more even than Erling Haaland.

Expect Pep to ring the changes from the starting XI that were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday with Ederson, Rodri, De Bruyne and Haaland all likely to come back into the starting-line up, with a few other changes expected. I think Manchester United have a real chance of taking something from this game, something just isn’t clicking with City at the moment and Manchester United have some serious momentum, with the home fans behind them they couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to beat their rivals.

Match stats

  • The Citizens are unbeaten in 27 of their last 29 Premier League games.
  • The last six meetings between the sides at Old Trafford have seen each match produce under three goals.
  • Manchester United have won all of their last four Premier League games.
  • Man City have scored at least two goals in their last three games against their local rivals.
  • Man City have won the last three head-to-head encounters.
  • Man United have kept a clean sheet in their last three games. (league)
  • Man City have kept a clean sheet in five of their last six games at Old Trafford. (league)

Team news

  • Diego Dalot is still doubtful so Aaron Wan-Bissaka could fill the right-back role.
  • Ruben Dias is out with a hamstring injury.

Brentford v Bournemouth Bet Builder

  • Brentford vs Bournemouth - Bryan Mbuemo to score anytime, Chris Mepham to be carded 11/1

11/1 Brentford v Bournemouth Bet Builder

Sam has a double figure bet builder for the evening kick off

The situation is starting to look desperate for Gary O’Neill and his Bournemouth team as they come into this game with seven defeats from their last eight games. The January transfer could be vital for The Cherries if they are to stand any chance of surviving. The squad is paper thin and there are limited players you could claim are genuine Premier League quality. As for Brentford they have no such issues with three wins from their last four league games, and currently unbeaten in six matches.

This has seen The Bees move into 9th place in the table with an impressive 26 points from their opening 18 games. Even more impressive is the teams they have overcome in their last four games having taken maximum points against Manchester City, Liverpool and West Ham. Thomas Frank’s side are playing with real purpose and even without talisman Ivan Toney they still showed their quality and team strength in their 3-1 victory over Liverpool. After an impressive start at Bournemouth for O’Neill, performances have dipped as feared by most, and he is now seeing first hand the extent of the job on his hands.

Match stats

  • Bournemouth have lost seven of their last eight matches in the Premier League.
  • Bournemouth have failed to score in all of their last three matches.
  • The last four meetings between the sides have produced at least three goals.
  • Brentford have scored at least two goals in all of their last five Premier League games.
  • Bournemouth have conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven league matches.
  • Brentford are unbeaten in their last six games.
  • Brentford are unbeaten in nine of their last 10 home games against Bournemouth.

Team news

  • Ivan Toney is still a doubt for Saturday’s game, he may be pushing for a place in the squad but is unlikely to start. It looks as though Pontus Jansson could be Frank’s only absentee for the clash.
  • Adam Smith is serving a one match ban having accumulated five yellow cards. Brooks, Tavernier, Neto and Stanislas still remain on the sidelines with injury while Lerma could return to the fold.

3pm Premier League Acca

For the 3pm games I really fancy the look of both teams to score in all of the four games, you can put them together in an accumulator that pays 8/1 with William Hill.

8/1 BTTS Acca - 3pm Kick Offs

We've combined goals in the 3pm games for an acca

Everton vs Southampton

A crucial match at Goodison for both teams with a lot riding on it down at the bottom of the table. A win for either team would do the world of good for both managers and also giving them much needed points, not to mention the boost it would give the players.

  • Everton’s last three Premier League games have ended with both teams scoring a goal.
  • Southampton’s last three away games in all competitions have seen both teams scoring a goal.
  • Two of the last three meetings between the sides have seen both teams score a goal.

Brighton vs Liverpool

This game screams both teams to score for me, the stats also strongly back it up. Both teams are all out attack, but with that comes a certain level of sacrifice. Also Liverpool just haven’t looked the same defensive unit that we have come to expect them to be this season.

  • All of Brighton’s last seven Premier League games have ended in both teams scoring a goal.
  • All of Liverpool’s last six Premier League games have ended in both teams scoring a goal.
  • Two of the last three meetings between the sides have seen both teams scoring a goal.

Nottingham Forest vs Leicester

A midlands clash between two bottom half of the table clubs. Nottingham Forest have started to look more and more like a Premier League club in recent games and enter the game off the back of a Carabao Cup win which sees them reach the semi-final. As for Leicester there form has been indifferent to say the least this season so this game could go either way.

  • Five of Forest’s last seven Premier League home games have been BTTS
  • Two of the last three meetings between the sides have seen both teams score a goal.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Ham United

Another bottom of the table clash with a lot riding on it for both teams. David Moyes has really struggled to get a tune out of the Hammers this season and Wolves find themselves 19th in the table, with a disappointing return of 14 points from 18 games.

  • Six of Wolves last eight games in all competitions have ended with both teams scoring a goal.
  • Seven of West Ham’s last 10 games in all competitions have ended with BTTS.
