Tizz Talks: 17/2, 15/2 & 9/1 Premier League Betting Tips

There was a changing of the guard at the top of the table this week as Manchester City overtook Arsenal to move into first place. This Saturday sees seven Premier League fixtures scheduled to go ahead and I have picked out three three bets that I like the look of having done my research.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal 17/2 Bet Builder with Paddy Power

It’s now ‘All Or Nothing’ for Arsenal as they look to get their title chase back on track after Wednesday’s defeat to Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s side now sit second in the Premier League table after that loss and have taken just one point from their last three games. They still have a game in hand and are level on points so their fate lies in their hands but the road ahead looks a lot bleaker for the Gunners. Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery returns to The Emirates Stadium and he won’t be looking to do his old side any favours. Arsenal have won all of the previous three encounters between the sides so The Villains know they are going to be in for a tough match. Having lost their last two games they would have been hoping for a much easier clash than this, but at the same time you could argue there is no better time to play Arsenal who are now without a win in four games in all competitions.

  • Arsenal to win
  • Leandro Trossard to have a shot on target
  • John McGinn to be carded

Our top three predictions

Team News

Arsenal will be without Gabriel Jesus, Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith-Rowe (injured) while Thomas Partey is also a doubt. As for Aston Villa they will have to do without Diego Carlos and Jed Steer who are both injured. Bertrand Traore and Tyrone Mings remain doubts for the clash.

Match Stats

  • Arsenal have won 8 of their 12 away games this season.
  • All of Aston Villa’s last five home games have ended with both teams scoring a goal.
  • Arsenal won the reverse fixture 2-1.
  • Arsenal have been leading at both half-time and full-time in their last three matches against Aston Villa.

Newcastle vs Liverpool 15/2 Bet Builder with Paddy Power

Will Newcasle have one eye on the Carabao Cup Final or will they come into this match all guns blazing with their top four hopes under serious pressure? This fixture has produced some classic encounters down the years and it’s one the fans always look for. The Geordies are without their Brazilian magician Bruno Guimaraes once more and I think that will hold them back here, with Liverpool looking to back up their win against Everton last week. Newcastle have a lengthy list of doubts and absentees coming into this match and that could have a huge swing in Liverpool’s favour. With Bruno and potentially Willock not available for selection that does leave Newcastle light in the middle of the park, something that Liverpool should look to take advantage of. The Reds have won eight of their last 10 encounters against The Magpies including a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture. That is Newcastle’s solo defeat of the campaign and since that loss they have played 17 games in all competition without defeat.

  • Joelinton to be carded
  • Mohamed Salah to have a shot on target
  • Fabian Schar to commit a foul

3pm Premier League acca - Pays 9/1 with William Hill

  • Brentford vs Crystal Palace - Home win
  • Brighton vs Fulham - BTTS
  • Wolves vs Bournemouth - Home win
  • Nottm Forest vs Man City - Away win & Over 2.5 FT

Brentford to beat Crystal Palace 1/1

A lot of credit needs to be given to Thomas Frank for what he is achieving with Brentford, with The Bees entering this game on a 10 game unbeaten streak in the Premier League. That is pretty remarkable given the resources he has had to work with and he has a very strong chance of extending that run this weekend. As for The Eagles they are now on a disappointing run of six games without a win and are slowly working their way closer towards the relegation zone.

Brighton vs Fulham both teams to score 8/11

This game could be an absolute thriller! Fulham won the reverse fixture 2-1 but Brighton come into this game in excellent form and playing some great football. Who would have thought that this game would be a potential European place clincher with both sides currently in the running for Europa League and Conference League places. Nine of Brighton’s last 11 Premier League games have ended with both teams getting on the score sheet, on top of that Fulham boast the highest both teams to score percentage in the league so I will be going for both teams to score bet here.

Wolves to beat Bournemouth 4/6

We spoke about this game on the odds on podcast and Dan Tracey, Craig Jones and myself were all in agreement that we think Wolves will get the win this weekend. We also think that the game is likely to see less than three goals scored with the homeside starting to reignite the Wolves of old in the Premier League, a tough team to break down and frustrate you. Bournemouth have lost all of their last six away games in the Premier League and at this stage you would have to say look destined for the drop.

Manchester City win and over 2.5 match goals 5/6

I feel like Manchester City can now smell blood after Wednesday’s win against Arsenal lifted them to the top of the table. Forest are going to have their work cutout trying to challenge the Citizens but you can be sure that Steve Cooper will set his side up to give it a go. Ultimately though I do see signs that Manchester City are starting to click into motion, and I think that they are going to start steamrolling a lot of teams over the next few weeks and run away with the Premier League trophy. Summer signing Erling Haaland already has an insane 26 league goals and I fancy him to add to that tally on Saturday.
