Tizz Tips: Premier League Bet Builders - Sunday 22nd January

Sam is back with two Bet Builder bets for Sunday’s games

Sunday’s Premier League action brings us three games and I have focused on two games in particular. I have picked out two Bet Builders, one for the crucial Arsenal vs Manchester United game and another for the Brentford vs Leeds United match.

I decided to leave the Manchester City vs Wolves game alone as I wasn’t seeing anything of value that I particularly liked and I couldn’t be sure what team Pep might field.

This game has the potential to produce a lot of goals and both sides pride themselves on their attacking approach to games. Leeds United come into this game with little form to gloat about in the Premier League but reminded us all what they can produce in their 5-2 FA Cup victory over Cardiff during the week.

In Wilfried Gnonto the Mighty Whites could have found a new fan favourite after some impressive displays for Leeds recently. He was sensational against Cardiff in the FA Cup and that volley after just 26 seconds will live long in the memory for Leeds fans. Gnonto epitomizes everything that Leeds fans love, quick, direct and gets you on the edge of your seat, they will be hoping they have unlocked a potential superstar in the enigmatic youngster who has eight caps for Italy.

Leeds are desperate for a consistent goal scorer and with Patrick Bamford having netted twice during the week, Rodrigo in decent form and Gnonto also producing there are reasons to be optimistic, especially with Sinisterra returning from injury.

As for Brentford they are unbeaten in seven Premier League games and have taken maximum points from their last three outings, with wins against Bournemouth, West Ham and Liverpool. Thomas Frank’s side are ticking and they find themselves eighth in the table, ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Bees aren’t goal shy on the road having scored 24 goals in their last 15 away games in the league. A win here would increase their credentials for a European place next season, something that Brentford fans could only dream of but with the way this season is shaping up they may not get a better opportunity.

My 9/1 Bet Builder with Paddy Power:

  • Over 2.5 match goals
  • Ivan Toney to score or assist
  • Wilfried Gnonto to have 1+ shots on target
  • Leeds over 4.5 corners
  • Brentford over 3.5 corners

Leeds vs Brentford Team News

Summerville, Forshaw, Dallas and Gray will certainly play no part in Sunday’s game for Leeds. Koch, Cooper and Wober are also doubts for the clash.

Onyeka, Jansson, Baptiste and Hickey are all sidelined with injury for Brentford and Henry is also a doubt for Thomas Frank’s side.

Premier League 22/23 Season

The weekend’s showcase event sees league leaders Arsenal host Manchester United, looking to rectify their defeat to the Red Devils earlier in the season. You can’t underestimate how important a win is here for either side, three points from Arsenal is guaranteed to keep them five points ahead of Manchester City with a game in hand.

As for Manchester United a win for them could see them close the gap on Arsenal to five points, albeit having played a game more. A Manchester United win would also do wonders for their top four hopes with them currently six points ahead of Tottenham fifth, having played a game less. The visitors will be without midfield dynamo Casemiro who has been a linchpin for their side’s recent success, so his loss will come as a huge blow for Ten Hag.

You feel if United are to get anything from this game their hopes may lie heavily on in-form forward Marcus Rashford who scored the winning goal against their local rivals Manchester City last weekend. The England international has found the net eight times in his last eight appearances in all competitions and is in the form of his life.

Arsenal were unlucky to be beaten by Manchester United the last time these two teams played each other, having largely outplayed their opponents for the most of the match. I expect to see them take at least a point at The Emirates this weekend with Casemiro absent for the visitors and Arsenal playing some high quality football of late. Martin Odegaard has arguably been the player of the season, if we are ruling out Haaland and his goals tally, and he could provide the quality moments in this match that gift Arsenal a crucial win.

My 12/1 Bet Builder with Paddy Power:

  • Over 2.5 match goals
  • Marcus Rashford to score anytime
  • Antony and Odegaard to have 1+ shots on target

Match stats:

  • Marcus Rashford has scored 8 goals in his last 8 games in all competitions for Manchester United.
  • 11 of Arsenal’s last 12 home games in the Premier League have had at least three goals.
  • Odegaard has 13 goal contributions in the 17 games he has played in the league.
  • Odegaard 17 shots on target for Arsenal this season.
  • Antony has 13 shots on target this season for Manchester United.
  • Arsenal have won six of their last seven Premier League games.
  • Manchester United are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games.
  • The last three meetings between the sides have all seen at least three goals scored.

Arsenal vs Man Utd Team News

Arsenal will be without Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus through injury. Midfielder Mohamed Elneny is also a fitness doubt.

Midfielder Casemiro misses out through suspension, Alex Tuanzebe and Donny van de Beek are sidelined through injury with Jadon Sancho, Diogo Dalot and Anthony Martial are likely to miss out.
