Tottenham will expect nothing less than three points when Frankfurt roll into town for their Champions League Group D encounter on Wednesday evening.
When the two sides met last week in Germany, Tottenham were profligate in front of goal as they squandered some very presentable opportunities.
While there are still some question marks over Son Heung-Min, Antonio Conte is likely to revert to his preferred 3-4-3 formation after experimenting with a 3-5-2 formation for the 1-0 win over Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
Richarlison is likely to come back into the starting line-up, but Conte will be hoping to have Dejan Kulusevski fit again sooner than later.
Frankfurt, meanwhile, saw their four-match winning streak abruptly halted last weekend when they slid to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bochum.
But will Frankfurt cause a stir in north London? Ahead of kick-off, we have given you the full lowdown on this fixture and picked out a couple of tips for you to chew over.
Tottenham to enjoy home comforts
In their last two Champions League clashes on the road, Tottenham have been far from convincing. Son, as we have suggested, has been largely subdued, and he appears to be rushing his chances when they fall his way.
Although a draw at Frankfurt was by no means a disastrous result, Tottenham still have plenty of work if they are going to safeguard their passage into the last 16.
In many respects, after a difficult week following the death of fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone, the victory over Brighton was measured, and it was a good response after the defeat to north London rivals Arsenal.
Frankfurt weren’t cowed in their original meeting with Tottenham as they managed 12 attempts, but they could be put on the back foot for the bulk of the game, and they will have to ride out some tough moments.
Tottenham won’t be complacent, but should they apply themselves well, I think they will run out comfortable winners. Currently, they are at an intriguing 7/1 with William Hill to clinch a 2-0 victory.
Ivan Perisic to make his mark
While it might have taken a little time to adjust to Tottenham, Ivan Perisic is perhaps best known for his crossing, and he has chipped in with a few assists (three in nine Premier League appearances to be exact).
He came close to scoring away in Frankfurt last week and he certainly has an eye for goal.
Perisic will be feeling fresh after his cameo role last weekend and I fancy him to get in on the act. He could well settle matters in Tottenham’s favour and pop up with the last goal of the game. You can find a juicy price of 8/1 with Paddy Power for that to be the case.
