Foxes Too Clever For Boro
Premier League legend Matt Le Tissier tips Leicester to make the most of home advantage against Middlesbrough in tonight’s Npower Championship match.
Nigel Pearson’s side has the meanest defence in the Championship and with January signing Chris Wood hitting the ground running, Leicester can move into second place with a win against fellow promotion contenders, Boro. Woods was recalled from loan at Millwall to complete a permanent move from West Brom and the New Zealand striker has hit five goals in two games for his new club.
Matt Le Tissier tips: “Leicester should have enough to beat Middlesbrough at home later. The Foxes are on a four game winning streak and 8/11 with Blue square is a fair price. Probably one to put in the accumulators for the weekend, assuming the snow doesn’t claim the football too.”
Boro have lost their last two league games and have been inconsistent away from the Riverside, mostly relying on ten home wins to stay in touch with the leading group. Tony Mowbray’s side have plenty to play for; Middlesbrough are level on points with the Foxes with inferior goal difference but have passed up the chance of climbing into the top two on a number of occasions already this season.
