Friday’s Galway Acca Betting Tips:

Arcadian Sunrise to Place (3 Places) in the 5.00pm

Denis O’Regan has kept Arcadian Sunrise going over the spring and into summer and has been rewarded with some very good runs.

Connections were disappointed that the seven-year-old didn’t get a place in the Galway Hurdle but he can make amends for that with a big run in the Galways Tribes Handicap.

This is a good race in which Arcadian Sunrise will be seriously tested but if he is as good as he was at Punchestown in May he’ll surely claim one of the first three places at 5/4 with Virgin Bet.

Stratum to Place (3 Places) in the 5.30pm

Stratum will be one of the most popular bets of the day at Galway and for very good reason.

Fresh off a win at Royal Ascot last month, the Willie Mullins trained eight-year-old is the 5/1 favourite on his return to hurdling.

He is a better horse now than when finishing seventh in this race last year and should have little trouble filling one of the first three places at 11/10 with Virgin Bet.

Russian Diamond to Win the 6.05pm

Russian Diamond is one of the few horses at Galway on Friday evening about whom the bookmakers will have bigger liabilities than Stratum.

The Emmet Mullins team have put this seven-year-old through a lot of work to ensure there is no repeat of the mistake he made on his chase debut at last year’s Galway Festival.

He has winning form at the meeting courtesy of a bumper two years ago and hopes are high that he will make into a very good chaser.

This looks a great place for him to break his duck over fences at 15/8 with Virgin Bet.
