Thursday’s Galway Acca Betting Tips:

Gin On Lime to Place (2 Places) in the 5.45pm

Gin On Lime has looked very good since making the transition from hurdles to fence.

Henry de Bromhead has certainly been very happy with the five-year-old’s progress and if this race goes to form, Gin On Lime should confirm her status as favourite.

There is danger looming in the shape of the talented but frustrating Fan De Blues while Bold Enough is unbeaten in two starts over fences.

To provide some insurance, backing Gin On Lime to finish in the first two makes sense at 8/13 with Virgin Bet.

City Island to Place (3 Places) in the 5.10pm

Bleu Berry has been backed into favouritism as the 10-year-old makes his debut over fences in this beginners chase.

Willie Mullins will ensure that he is as well prepared as possible but he faces some good opposition with City Island likely to be the main threat.

There is a danger that the eight-year-old goes will never live up to the promise he showed in his earlier career but it is interesting that Martin Brassil has sent him back to work in this race and just a slight improvement in his jumping should see City Island earn a credible place.

Ciel De Neige to Place (3 Places) in the 6.15pm

We have an excellent edition of the Galway Hurdle ahead of us with any number of potential winners.

Paul Townend made the right choice of the Willie Mullins’ horses in yesterday’s feature with Royal Rendezvous winning the Galway Plate and he may well have done likewise in the Galway Hurdle.

Townend’s choice is Ciel De Neige who was last seen finishing second to Koshari at Punchestown in May.

With so many worthy opponents, Ciel De Neige will need his very best to win but he looks good to fill one of the front three places at 7/4 with Virgin Bet.
