Germany U21 TO Bounce Back Against Spain
Ex-England international and TV football pundit Matt Le Tissier has a tip for the Germany v Spain clash in UEFA Under 21 Championship Group B tonight.
These sides had contrasting fortunes in the opening fixtures with Spain securing a three points following a 1-0 win over Russia, while Germany went down 3-2 to a hard working Netherlands side.
Germany were seen as one of the tournament favourites before the competition began on the back of an impressive qualifying campaign and with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur star Lewis Holtby in the side they should give Spain a game tonight.
Germany’s never say die attitude was evident as they went in 2-0 down to the dutch at half time, but battled back to 2-2 only to lose to a 90th minute Leroy Fer header. That attitude will be needed again today when they face a technical Spanish side, with defeat not being an option.
Matt le Tissier Tips: “Germany can’t afford to lose this game or they will be out and judging by their impressive second half performance against Netherlands they definitely have the ability to beat Spain making Skybet’s generous best odds of 14/5 for a German U21 win worth taking”
Prior to Germany U21’s defeat to Netherlands, Die Mannschaft had been in impressive form scoring 39 goals and going unbeaten in ten games on the way to topping their qualifying group by eight points.
