Goal Glut Expected At The Lane
Spurs & Liverpool To Draw
Matt Le Tissier is expecting goals at Whitehart Lane, read his latest exclusive football tip for Tottenham v Liverpool in the Premier League.
The hosts have enjoyed a solid start to the season so far, so a repeat of the horror show from the corresponding fixture last season would therefore seem unlikely. Mauricio Pochettino alrady has Spurs looking organised and they’ll be looking to make another quick start in front of their supporters as they did when thrashing QPR 4-0 a week ago.
It hasn’t been quite so rosy for Liverpool who were made to work for a result against Southampton before being soundly beaten by Manchester City. The Reds looked threatening before going behind though and with another week’s training under their belts, Brendan Rodgers new look squad will be more familiar with eachother.
Matt Le Tissier Tips: “The draw would be my pick at 13/5 with Boylesports, as the impressive firepower available to both will cancel each other out. With that attacking talent in mind, I’d plump for a 2-2 correct score at 13s with BetVictor.”
Tottenham have Kyle Naughton available again following suspension, but he may have to settle for a place on the bench in light of Eric Dier’s impressive performance at right-back in the win over QPR. Nacer Chadli scored two goals in that match and could play on the left wing once again with Eriksen and Lamela providing support to Adebayor in attack.
Mario Balotelli is in line to make his first appearance since signing for Liverpool at White Hart Lane, which could mean a switch to a 4-man diamond midfield. The Italian is likely to partner Daniel Sturridge in attack with Coutinho perhaps dropping to the bench after some pretty underwhelming displays. The Reds have problems at the back with Skrtel, Moreno and Johnson all doubtful, so expect them to fight fire with fire and go on the attack.
