Wednesday’s Goodwood Acca Betting Tips:

Vadream to Win the 2.25pm

Our acca kicks off with a cracking renewal of this Group 3 for fillies and mares.

You can make a case for any number of the runners in this contest but the market may well have got it right making Vadream the favourite at 5/1 with Virgin Bet.

This return to 7f should suit Charlie Fellowes’ three-year-old as she looks to build on some impressive form with the big win that she’s been threatening.

Poetic Flare to Win the 3.35pm

After Poetic Flare won the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, Kevin Manning described him as “a proper horse”.

There is absolutely no doubt about that now after a very busy six weeks saw him run in the French Guineas, finish second in the Irish Guineas and then win the St James’s Palace Stakes.

Although his worst run of that spell came on ground described as very soft at Longchamp, he showed he could deal with cut in the ground at the Curragh the following week.

With the benefit of a six week break, a fresh Poetic Flare should see off the challenge of some very good rivals in the Sussex Stakes including Alcohol Free and Snow Lantern at 5/4 with Virgin Bet.

Achelois to Win the 4.45pm

Andrew Balding is remaining patient with Achelois (5/2 with Virgin Bet).

She may be improving very nicely but he has resisted the temptation to give her some Black Type and keeping her in handicap company, at least for the time being.

That is good news for punters ahead of this handicap as she remains more than capable of following up her win at Ascot last time out off a mark of 86 with the sort of soft ground that she loves.
