The Freebets.com horse racing experts are here to guide you through the 2022 Grand National at Aintree. Below we have their fancies, combining the expertise of Ed Quigley, Alan Kelly and Charlie McCann, our written experts, plus two from our horse racing podcast, Kate Tracey and Frankie Foster.
Given the number of different selections they put forward between them, you can see just how wide open the field is this year!
Here are the horses that our expert tipsters fancy to go well in the Grand National.
Ed Quigley
I am with Fiddlerontheroof here. He jumps for fun, shapes as though he will relish this marathon trip and has a touch of class. Despite being only eight, he has a lot of battle-hardened experience over fences and he looks a major player for the Colin Tizzard team.
For the place money, I like Longhouse Poet for 2006 winning trainer Martin Brassil – if the rain arrives that will only enhance his credentials. Kildisart is no back number, and could easily outrun his odds for trainer Ben Pauling who is having his runner in the race. Delta Work, Snow Leopardess and Any Second Now all merit plenty of respect, but Santini could be the one to run on into a place at big odds.

The Paul Nolan-trained Discorama looks to have been campaigned with one race in mind all season, the Randox Grand National. Off a 3lb lower mark and with a better preparation, the mount of Bryan Cooper is taken to improve upon his seventh place of 12 months ago.

My pin has come down on ANY SECOND NOW (5.15) who finished third in the corresponding race 12 months ago having been badly hampered at halfway. He is 7lbs higher this afternoon but beat Escaria Ten a nose in the Bobbyjo last time and is 1lb better of; he is another Irish challenger with a great chance.
