The Best Horse Racing Tips for Haydock & Yarmouth on Wednesday
Horse Racing tips for the meetings at Haydock & Yarmouth on Wednesday afternoon
Flat racing in Britain on Wednesday afternoon comes from the meetings at Haydock Park and Yarmouth. We will provide Horse Racing tips, previews and predictions for two races from the Merseyside track and one from the racecourse on the Norfolk coast.
At Haydock we will supply Horse Racing tips for the races taking place at 3.10pm and 3.45pm, both of which are Class 3 handicaps run over an extended 1m 2f. At Yarmouth our Horse Racing tip comes in the one mile handicap at 4.40pm.
Secure your place at one of the hottest meetings of the summer. Three days of flat out fun both on and off the track!
Last month’s Matchbook “Best Value” Exchange Handicap at York provides plenty of clues to the outcome of this 1m 2f contest. The fourth, fifth and sixth horses on that occasion – Pivoine, Chichester and Satono Japan all take each other on again.
Trained by Sir Michael Stoute (responsible for Satono Japan) until joining the stable of Keith Dalgleish in April, Chichester was the subject of sustained support in Redcar’s Zetland Gold Cup last time, eventually finishing a close third despite failing to get the clearest of runs.
The mount of Franny Norton looks poised to open his account on Turf for his new connections (won on Newcastle’s all-weather surface on debut for Dalgleish) and is taken to confirm the form with Redcar fourth Highwaygrey on the same terms.

Bottom weight Innse Gall is interesting here of a mark of only 70, considering the Toronado gelding, beaten less than a length in a decent Newcastle handicap two weeks ago when unfancied, ran the now 101-rated Pythagoras to eight lengths at Ripon on his final outing as a juvenile last September.
The mount of Andrew Mullen could easily prove a step ahead of the handicapper. But, despite beating only one horse home at Ascot on his reappearance, the Ralph Beckett-trained Orgetorix makes most appeal based on the promise he showed as a two-year-old.
After making a pleasing debut when finishing third at Newbury, the son of Archipenko justified favouritism in a decent contest at York before going down by a length to the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Qaasid on Kempton’s all-weather surface.
Sent off favourite for his first run of the season at Ascot, Orgetorix ducked right leaving the stalls and then found himself short of room approaching the final furlong, at which point his rider, Rossa Ryan, let his mount coast home. With Hector Crouch now replacing the injured jockey, Orgetorix can show his true form at the Merseyside venue.
Top weight Fox Power has now dropped to a very attractive mark of 82. Following a decent effort when finding only the progressive Poet’s Lady too good at Beverley recently, this dual all-weather scorer must have a good chance of opening his account on Turf at the eleventh attempt.
Bottom weight Foreseeable Future went close on his most recent start, going down by a head to Cmon Cmon on this course after making most of the running. With jockey Jamie Spencer back in the saddle the six-year-old must have a big chance, running off the same mark. However, the horse who makes most appeal is the Eve Johnson Houghton-trained Madame Tantzy.
An easy winner at Newmarket last September, the mount of Tom Marquand, while only finishing fourth of seven at headquarters on her reappearance, was beaten a little over a length behind all-the-way winner Overwrite.
The runner-up there, Oh This Is Us, has since gone on to win a Listed race at Ascot and Epsom’s Group 3 Diomed Stakes on Derby Day. One place behind Madame Tantzy was subsequent Zetland Gold Cup runner-up Makram.
While only sixth on her most recent start at Nottingham, the mare ran too freely and provided she settles better on this occasion, is fancied to go close.
