The Best Horse Racing Tips for Ripon & Windsor on Monday

Monday’s Horse Racing tips come from the evening meetings at Ripon and Windsor. We will provide Horse Racing tips, previews and predictions for the first two races at the North Yorkshire racecourse.

At Windsor our Horse Racing tip comes in the fifth race on the card, a 1m 2f Class 4 handicap at 7.05pm.

Our Tip for the 5.55pm at Ripon:

The once-raced pair of Alnood and Proclivity should improve from their debut runs, in particular the latter who found only the more experienced May Blossom too good at Beverley last month.

The Alice Haynes-trained Josies Kid has posted three solid efforts to date and looks sure to go well in this juvenile novice stakes. But the mount of Kieran O’Neill may struggle to concede 5lb to the filly Form Of Praise.

Richard Fahey’s daughter of Mehmas, following promising efforts at Nottingham and Beverley, was sent off a warm favourite to open her account at Doncaster on her most recent start but could finish only third after failing to settle.

The drop back to the minimum trip should prove ideal for Tony Hamilton’s mount who is fancied to take this before stepping into nursery company.

Our Tip for the 6.25pm at Ripon:

A tight nursery with only 8lb covering ten of the eleven runners. Lethally Lovely ran well to finish a close fifth in a better race than this at Newmarket last time. And the grey filly has already recorded one victory when proving different class to her rivals in a selling stakes at Leicester last month.

Isladaay has been running consistently well and it can only be a matter of time before Tom Marquand’s mount gets her head in front. But at a double-figure price, course winner Beauzon may prove the each-way value bet of the race.

An easy six length winner here back in April over the minimum trip, the Brazen Beau gelding has not really gone on to fulfill that potential. However, despite beating only one horse home on his handicap debut at Musselburgh last time, Beauzon ran better than his finishing position would suggest.

Off a mark of 68 the mount of David Nolan is capable of winning a race of this nature back on a course that clearly suits.

Our Tip for the 7.05pm at Windsor:

Following three moderate runs, the Mark Johnston-trained Forest Falcon came back to something like his best form when finishing fifth in a hot handicap at Goodwood last week. William Buick’s mount would take plenty of beating with a similar effort but it is hard to know just what to expect from the Raven’s Pass gelding.

On the other hand, top weight Maiden Castle, from the Henry Candy stable, has been running consistently well in winning two of his last four starts along with going down narrowly in the other two.

A course and distance winner back in April, the mount of in-form jockey David Probert is more than capable of conceding weight to his six rivals off a mark of 84.
