The Best Horse Racing Tips for Leicester on Tuesday

The meeting at Leicester provides the only National Hunt action in Britain on Tuesday afternoon. We will supply Horse Racing tips, previews and predictions for the final three races on the card.

The first two of our selections both run in handicap chases, the first over an extended 2m 6f at 3.20pm, with the second coming 30 minutes later in a novices’ limited handicap run over 2m. Our final tip of the day runs in the finale at 4.20pm, an extended 1m 7f handicap hurdle.

“Tip of the Day” – Tokay Dokey – 3.50pm Leicester

The form of Dan Skelton’s unexposed chaser has worked out really well and the mount of Harry Skeleton should be capable of defying top weight in this 2m handicap.

Zuckerberg (Longshot) – 3.20pm Leicester

The Jennie Candlish-trained Zuckerberg has to be one of the most frustrating chasers in training. Despite being one of the youngest horses in the race, the six-year-old has flattered to deceive on several occasions.

Yet to win in 20 starts since joining Candlish from France, the gelding’s form figures for this season of 2-2-3-PU-3 speak for themselves. Today’s rider Page Fuller seems to get the best out of quirky performers. And after partnering with Zuckerberg to finish a decent third on his most recent effort at Huntington, can put that experience to good use in this Class 4 contest.

Last month’s course and distance winner San Agustin looks the obvious danger on just his fourth start over fences.

Tokay Dokey (NAP) – 3.50pm Leicester

An easy winner at Market Rasen last time on just his third run over fences, the Dan Skelton-trained top weight Tokay Dokey should take plenty of beating in this 2m handicap.

Prior to that 13 length victory on Boxing Day, Harry Skelton’s mount had split two subsequent winners in Brave Seasca and Oscars Leader at Warwick earlier that month.

Despite now racing off an 11lb higher mark, the eight-year-old is open to plenty more improvement and is taken to get the better of main market rival Golden Boy Grey, who won a four-horse affair at Taunton recently.

Quiana (Next Best) – 4.20pm Leicester

The first bit of form shown by the seven-year-old Quiana since joining trainer Gary Moore two years ago from France was when finishing second in an above-average ‘Jumpers’ Bumper’ at Kempton last February.

On the back of that promising effort, the mount of Jamie Moore was sent off a warm favourite to open his account over hurdles two weeks later at Huntington but managed to beat only one horse home.

Something was clearly amiss with the gelding on that occasion and having been dropped 8lb by the handicapper to a mark of 102, the three-time winner in his native land could be thrown- in here if fit enough following a layoff of some 11 months.

The stable can certainly get one ready after a break and it would be no surprise to see plenty of interest in the son of Derby winner Pour Moi. The consistent pair of Happy And Fine and Made For You look best of the rest.
