Hull To Take Care Of Brighton In FA Cup
Hull City manager Steve Bruce knows what it’s like to win the FA Cup, having lifted the trophy three times as a player for Manchester Utd. He can take a step closer to his first Wembley Cup final as a manager when his team go to the Amex Stadium to take on Championship side Brighton in the fifth round on Monday night.
Hull make the trip to Brighton without cup-tied strikers Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic but the Tigers didn’t need the duo’s help when winning away against Middlesbrough and Southend in the two previous rounds.
Matt Le Tissier tips: “Brighton take on Hull in the cup tonight and despite City’s poor league form, they should do alright on the South coast. They’ve had a couple of results lately which have given them a little breathing space at the bottom of the division and although Brighton have been in good form, Hull can win this and look forward to a home draw in the quarter finals.
Hull’s odds have shortened since I tipped them at 5/2 on Friday and they’re now top price 21/10 at William Hill”
Brighton are fighting for a place in the playoffs and back to back home wins have lifted the Seagulls to seventh in the Championship. Oscar Garcia’s side have won the last four at home in all competitions and a fifth successive victory would earn them sixth round home game against Sunderland.
