Ligue 1: Wednesday Night 11/1 Football Acca

Crossing The Channel

Although the Premier League machine will generate some more drama this evening, there will be just as much in Ligue 1 and with that in mind, here is the four-fold that we have waiting up our sleeve.

Champions In Wait

The first of four clashes takes us to the Raymond Kopa Stadium and with hosts Angers welcoming PSG to their beloved home, they may also have to play a part in some rowdy title celebrations this evening.

Because after Mauricio Pochettino masterminded a win over Marseille at the weekend, it now means that his cabal of superstars are 15 points clear of the Stade Velodrome outfit and there are just six Ligue1 fixtures remaining.

Which means if results go their way and with that, I mean PSG win at Angers and Marseille fail to get the better of Nantes, it will mean that the Parisians will reclaim the trophy that they kindly lent to Lille last season.

While regardless of whether a champion is crowned tonight, my interest is in goals and nothing more. Which means if there are over 3.5 in total at the Raymond Kopa Stadium, Bet365 are ready to unlock odds of 13/8 on this accumulator.

Delaying The Celebrations

After suffering that same 2-1 defeat to PSG, Marseille’s feintest hopes of winning this season’s Ligue1 title would have dissipated for good and although the loss in Paris would have been a bitter pill to swallow, there was also reason to be cheerful.

Because with Rennes losing at home to Monaco last weekend, it means there is no change in the race for second and perhaps more importantly, the last automatic Champions League invite on offer.

Something that will have at least put a smile on the face of manager Jorge Sampaoli and with Marseille and Rennes still offering us some interest towards the top of the Ligue1 standings, the former will look to get the better of Nantes this evening.

With Nantes making the trip to Stade Velodrome later tonight, they do so having gone unbeaten in their last three league outings. However, I think their burgeoning run comes to an end in a few hours and therefore, I am adding a Marseille win at odds of 3/5 to my accumulator.

Towards The Bottom

When it comes to the confines of Ligue1, there is always an interesting subplot towards the bottom of the table and this season is no different, as the battle to avoid relegation intensifies with each week that passes.

While that battle will only become more intense this evening, as struggling Lorient play host to Metz and with Christophe Pélissier’s men only two points clear of the relegation zone, they will look to get the better of the side who is currently propping up the division.

Especially as Metz have failed to win any of their last 11 league outings and if they are to begin a rather great escape, then it simply must start this evening at the Stade du Moustoir. Then again, I cannot see this being the case.

Which is why I have plumped for Lorient this evening and if they do manage to earn all three points, not only could it afford themselves some breathing space away from the relegation zone, but it will also unlock odds of 4/5 with Bet365.

Monte Carlo Or Bust

After getting the better of Rennes last weekend, Monaco have kept their hopes of earning a European invite alive and with them currently just outside the continental qualification places on goal difference, that is a situation they will look to rectify this evening.

With that in mind, the Monégasque’s will not only look to get the better of Nice but also help their goal difference in the process and if they can achieve both targets, they may end up leapfrogging Strasbourg by the time night falls.

However, Nice are no pushovers and with them currently lying fourth in the Ligue1 standings, they have just as much in terms of European aspirations and therefore, it should make for a rather entertaining clash.

Which is why I have opted for goals instead of an outcome in this one and if you also think that both teams will score at the Stade Louis II, you can back this at odds of 7/10 – something that is certainly worth your consideration.

While if you put all four combinations together, Bet365 are prepared to offer you 11.85/1 in return.
