Man Utd vs Liverpool: Premier League Betting Odds and Predictions

In an incredibly packed end-of-season schedule the last thing that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needed was another match.

That’s what he’s dealing with though as Liverpool head to Manchester for the second time to take on Man Utd in the fixture that was originally postponed.

Solskjaer made a raft of changes to his team for Tuesday night’s loss to Leicester and after that result the bookies make Liverpool the 11/8 favourites at Old Trafford.

We think that is an overreaction given Liverpool’s issues this season and like the look of the draw at 5/2 with bet365*.

Man Utd vs Liverpool Betting Odds:

Liverpool fans were not happy about the team that Solskjaer sent out against Leicester.

Solskjaer made several changes in what was a thinly veiled message to both the Premier League for the fixture congestion and the club’s board to highlight the relative paucity of first team options available to him.

Leicester duly took advantage of a golden chance to earn a rare victory at Old Trafford and strengthen their grip on a top four place, making it all the more likely that Liverpool will be without Champions League football next season.

As we saw with the Super League fallout, Liverpool are a club that believes they have a right to a place at the top table of football but they have to earn that right season after season and the Reds just haven’t done that this year.

Obviously, Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff have had a host of issues beyond their control to contend with including a lengthy injury list which is only now starting to really ease.

Liverpool have options in attack and should make Man Utd work for their point by scoring at least one goal so in a fixture that tends to be low scoring, consider the 1-1 correct score at 13/2 with BetVictor.

Man Utd once again had to come from behind against Leicester on Tuesday night.

They were unable to kick on after Mason Greenwood’s excellent goal got them back on terms but no team has earned more points from a losing position than United in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool are far fresher than their rivals and should come out of the blocks quickly as they fight for the top four so take the 14/1 that bet365* are quoting on the Liverpool/Draw half time/full time selection.
