Managerless Sunderland Ripe To Oppose
Football legend and TV pundit Matt Le Tissier has some betting advice ahead of Sunderland v Liverpool in the Premier League today.
The home side have struggled with some tough early fixtures in the Premier League and have now parted company with manager Paulo Di Canio leaving Kevin Ball in charge as interim manager. Without striker Steven Fletcher the Black Cats are unlikely to offer much of a goal threat and having let in three goals for the third successive match against West Brom last week, could struggle to keep the Reds out today.
Luis Suarez is set to feature in his first Premier League match after serving a 10-game ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic and will team up with Liverpool’s in-form striker Daniel Sturridge who has already netted four times this season. The pair will give Sunderland’s defence a testing 90 minutes as Liverpool bid to bounce back from defeat themselves having lost 0-1 to Southampton last time out. Brendan Rodgers played an alternative defence last week and got caught out, but it’s hard to see anything other than an away win on this occasion.
Matt Le Tissier Tips: “Liverpool are a solid price for your accumulator at 8/11 with Paddy Power and my prediction of 2-0 to Liverpool looks a decent Correct Score bet with William Hill who are quoting best odds of 8/1.”
It’s been a while since Liverpool have won at the Stadium of Light, but Sunderland are in a real rut right now and it’s doubtful that Kevin Ball can change their fortunes after just one week.
