Matt Le Tissier On West Ham v Southampton

Upton Park always produces a great football atmosphere and my best memories are of going there for the final day of the 1994 season and scoring twice to keep us up and then again as we beat them 4-2 in 1998

Southampton deservedly finished ahead of West Ham after 46 Championship games last season but the Saints defence has looked rather suspect this term and 20 goals conceeded in the opening seven Premier League games speaks for itself.

As this represents Sothampton’s first real winnable game this season i am tempted to follow my heart and back Southampton but i’ll follow my head instead and go for :

Both teams to score at odds of 4/6 with Coral and Bet365

West Ham are always decent at home and with Andy Carroll leading the line seem sure to create some chances.
