Messi To Score First Against PSG
Football legend Matt Le Tissier is tipping Lionel Messi to be first on the scoresheet when Barcelona play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League tonight.
Billed as a big match, we were not disappointed when these two European heavyweights played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Parc Des Princes last week. Lionel Messi’s opener got the tie underway and the Argentinian forward will be looking for a repeat tonight as Barcelona aim to progress to the semi-finals.
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo moved ahead of Messi to become the competition’s leading scorer after his brace during last night’s thrilling Champions League game against Galatasaray. Ronaldo now has nine Champions League goals this season, but Lionel Messi is just one behind with eight and can go level with his old adversary at Camp Nou tonight.
Matt Le Tissier Tips: “With Bayern Munich short priced favourites to qualify at the expense of Juventus and Barcelona’s odds of beating PSG less than appealing, it could pay to back Lionel Messi to find the net first as he did in Paris a week ago. Betvictor, Paddy Power & Coral are the only firms offering odds of 5/2 right now so snap that up”
Lionel Messi has scored already 59 goals in the Champions League at the age of just 25 and can edge one closer to Raul’s all time record of 71 tonight.
Xavi and Victor Valdes return to the Barcelona side tonight although Javier Mascherano is suspended along with PSG’s Blaise Matiudi, while Thiago Motta could miss out with a groin injury.
