Moyes To Enjoy First Champions League Win
Matt Le Tissier called it right between Swansea and Liverpool last night and he has another football betting tip for Manchester United v Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League tonight.
It’s unlikely that tonight’s big game will get off the same electrifying start as we witnessed at the Liberty Stadium yesterday as David Moyes won’t be wanting to take any risks in charge of his first ever Champions League group match. At Old Trafford though, Manchester United should have enough about themselves to see off the challenge of their German visitors and Bayer Leverkusen will struggle to cope with United’s attacking threat.
Robin Van Persie was subbed late on in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and will be fresh to start this game with Wayne Rooney his likely partner in attack as Danny Wellbeck is still a fitness doubt.
Matt Le Tissier Tips: “Manchester United will be too strong for Bayer Leverkusen, so I don’t see David Moyes having any trouble picking up his first Champions League win at Old Trafford and Paddy Power’s 17/20 looks a fair enough price for the home win. The same firm have gone 6/1 about Wayne Rooney to open the scoring which looks a bit big to me and I’d be tempted to make a small investment at those odds.”
Wayne Rooney picked up his first goal of the season with a coolly struck free-kick at the weekend and has looked in good shape for the Red Devils so far this season having also laid on a couple of assists for his teammates. Bayer Leverkusen conceded two goals without reply against Schalke in their last away game in the Bundesliga and will be up against it at Old Trafford tonight.
