NFL: Broncos @ Raiders 13/1 Bet Builder - Sunday 9:25pm

The Denver Broncos take on the Las Vegas Raiders in the live Sky TV game on Sunday evening, with a 9:25pm kick off.

It is fair to say, the Broncos are pretty dull at the moment, they’re 2-1 on the season, but in all three games, have pretty much sent me to sleep on the sofa. That could well happen again tonight, don’t expect them to change, especially as it has been a winning formula (if only just) for the past two weekends.

Much of that feeds into our 13/1 bet builder on the night, I’m not expecting the kind of fireworks we should with messers Carr, Wilson, Adams and Sutton on the field, hopefully a nice enough mix to lead our bet builder to victory, and keep me awake at the same time.

The four legs combining for Sunday night’s NFL bet builder are:

- Denver Broncos to win

- Under 45.5 points

- Courtland Sutton anytime TD

- Javonte Williams over 52.5 rushing yards

Denver Broncos to win

It hasn’t been a pretty start for the Broncos, losing to the Seahawks, before narrow victories against the Texans and 49ers. It’s slowly, and I mean slowly, got better each week, but their unwillingness to just YOLO with Russell Wilson is definitely holding them back right now.

It’s measured, some would say dull, and their defensive unit has been the only positive. What gives Denver the edge here, is their ability to win a narrow, low scoring game. They won’t score many, unless something huge happens with the play calling this week out of the blue, but can still win a game, because their elite defensive players have started the season on fire.

The Broncos to edge a low scoring one kicks us off.

Under 45.5 Points

I’ve pretty much explained this one above. This is a game where the first two picks come hand in hand. If there are 50+ points, I don’t see the Broncos winning, so for Denver to win, this line almost has to hit by default.

The Broncos can stop Derek Carr and his receiving corps, don’t expect them to score too many themselves, which leads to the under on the points line.

Courtland Sutton Anytime TD

Denver weren’t great in the red zone last week, but didn’t miss the kind of chances they had in week’s one and two. They also threw the ball, rather than running it, which is a good sign.

Many of those went to Courtland Sutton, a big target, ideal for the red zone, and I’m backing him to get one on the board in this game. He should be Wilson’s favourite target, his most trusted pair of hands. Small signs are there that the pair are finally reading the same book, let’s hope this week they land on the same page.

Javonte Williams Over 52.5 Rushing Yards

The final pick, we lean on what the Broncos have done so far. They’ve always gone conservative, ran the ball even when behind and needing a score, so if they ever get into the lead, I expect it’ll be three downs of running.

Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon share the backfield, but there is no doubt that Williams does a lot more with his carries, based on both this season and last. He’s probably not the same scoring threat as Gordon, which is why I’ve gone to the yards line here for him.

He has every chance of landing this in a game where the Broncos are behind, but if they get out into the lead, then he should see even more of the ball, and have a very strong day.
