Nice vs PSG: Betting Tips, Preview and Predictions
March 15, 2018
Now that they’re out of the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain can breathe a sigh of relief. The banana skins that awaited them at every turn in Europe’s top competition are nowhere to be found on the compost-free streets of Ligue 1.
The fear of failure was almost worse than failure itself. PSG went out with a whimper to Real Madrid and their fans haven’t lost the head as many might have expected. Their 17 point lead at the top of Ligue 1 gives them some leeway. But a summer spree amounting to well over €300 million should have wielded better results. It’s not that they went out to Madrid, it’s the manner in which they submitted.
They’ve since bounced back with routine wins over Mets and Angers. Kylian Mbappe has been among the goals in the absence of the injured Neymar and is a good bet to get on the scoresheet again when they face Nice this weekend. A trip to the French Riviera resulted in defeat for PSG last season.
Most of the misery that they have suffered in the current campaign has been on the road. This isn’t the same Nice side that almost reached the Champions League last season. However, they’re capable of top performances and are coming off the back of a 5-2 win away to Guingamp. Alassane Plea scored four of their goals. Expect PSG to bag the lion’s share in this encounter.
