Palace Face Hammer From Chelsea
Chelsea -2 to beat Palace
Crystal Palace face their biggest test of the season so far when league leaders Chelsea visit Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Palace have enjoyed a much better start following a tough return to the top flight last term and are five points better off than at this stage last season but have yet to play a top six side. Neil Warnock’s men have not conceded a league home goal in over 300 minutes since losing 3-1 against West Ham in their first home game of the season but Saturday’s opposition are on another level to Burnley and Leicester who left Selhurst Park goal less.
Matt Le Tissier tips: “Chelsea travel to Crystal Palace in what should be another routine victory for the Blues. They’ve been superlative so far, and their 2-0 brushing aside of Arsenal before the break showed they’re a class above the rest of the division this season.
I fancy them to really hammer someone soon, and unfortunately for Palace’s sake, I think they may well be in the wrong place at the wrong time tomorrow. A -2 handicap Chelsea win at 17/5 with BetVictor is decent value in my book.”
Jose Mourinho will be looking to avenge the 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park in March and must be confident with his side averaging three goals per game in a run of six wins and a draw from the first seven league games.
Chelsea have a number of injury concerns, including Diego Costa who has been doubtful for all seven games he has featured for his new club. The Spaniard has been nursing a hamstring since his arrival and played two games for his country during the international break.
