Premier League Best Bets – Sunday 24th April

There are four rather tantalising games to look forward to on Sunday, so you may want to cancel any initial plans you might have.

If you are looking to place a few bets, we have you covered with tips for each of the fixtures.

Brighton v Southampton – 2pm

To kick things off, we have a South Coast derby. Ok, it may not have the same intensity as Portsmouth v Southampton, but it could still be intriguing nonetheless.

Brighton will be buoyed by their back-to-back wins in north London as they emulated Hull City in 2008 by beating Arsenal and Tottenham in consecutive weekends.

Southampton, on the other hand, are such a yo-yo team and they were recently torn apart by Chelsea as they slumped to a 6-0 defeat – Ralph Hassenhuttl’s men are always on the receiving end of a battering at least once a season!

Earlier this season, Brighton and Southampton played out a 1-1 draw and as things stand, there is just one point separating them both in the table. This could be a drab goalless draw, and this price is available at 15/2 with Paddy Power.

Burnley v Wolves – 2:00pm

It has been a bit of a dramatic week off the field for Burnley, who dispensed with Sean Dyche with just a handful of games remaining.

However, in the first game since Dyche’s sacking, the Clarets showed signs of promise as they enjoyed a 2-0 win over the Saints earlier this week.

Wolves, meanwhile, still have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League Conference next term, and they will be looking to pip West Ham to that spot.

Burnley are in dire need of the points and a win will boost their chances of survival. There will be some moments of anxiety for the Burnley faithful at Turf Moor, and in terms of the Correct Score market, Ladbrokes is offering odds of 6/1 for Burnley to claim a 1-0 victory.

Chelsea v West Ham – 2:00pm

The third of the 2pm kick-offs sees West Ham make the trip across London to visit an ailing Chelsea side.

Chelsea were put to the sword earlier this week as they were dismantled by Arsenal in a 4-2 defeat, but the Blues conceded at least two avoidable goals.

Thomas Tuchel’s troops have now conceded four goals in back-to-back Premier League games and there are signs of brittleness in their rearguard.

West Ham, however, have seen their form nosedive and with it their chances of finishing in the top four, although they could secure a Champions League berth should they end up winning the Europa League.

Chelsea, however, who currently occupy third won’t want to give Tottenham or Arsenal any unnecessary encouragement and they should bounce back.

The Blues could win convincingly, and Timo Werner has enjoyed a recent burst of good form, netting three goals in his past three Premier League outings, and if you fancy him to grab a double, then you can get an intriguing price of 12/1 with Unibet.

Liverpool v Everton – 4:30pm

Merseyside derbies are always highly explosive fixtures that make for unmissable viewing and there is so much riding on this game.

Liverpool are gunning for the title and they are right on Manchester City’s coattails and spirits will be high after swatting aside Manchester United 4-0 earlier this week at Anfield.

Everton, meanwhile, have work to do to secure their top-flight status even though there have been some encouraging signs under Frank Lampard’s stewardship.

Liverpool, however, may find Everton to be easy pickings and with Mohamed Salah back among the goals, it could be a tough afternoon for the travelling Toffees fans.

We have gone for the Correct Score market and bet365 is dishing up tasty odds of Liverpool to prevail 3-1.
