Racing Tip: Annaluna To Defy Penalty At 1.10 Chepstow

Annaluna was an easy winner last week and is tipped by Alan Kelly to follow up that success at 1.10 Chepstow on Thursday afternoon.
At 13/8 a £10 bet would return £26.25

Back Annaluna At 1.10 Chepstow

Betting for the Class 5 JBPLC Mares Handicap Hurdle at 1.10 Chepstow is dominated by Annaluna and it’s hard to see the market leader coming up short in this company. Paddy Power are quoting odds of 13/8 and will return losing stakes as a free bet should the selection suffer a fall during the 2 mile 110yds contest.

A dual course winner on the flat, Annaluna recorded a comfortable victory back over hurdles at Ludlow last week, with a nine length winning-margin suggesting a penalty will not hold her back. The same amateur rider is back in the saddle today and that partnership looks set to yield a further reward, with a cut in the ground only serving to enhance their claims.

Roquine Sauvage is perhaps the main threat having been given a reasonable opening mark on her handicap bow and it’s a similar story for Moving Waves who looks to be getting the hang of things over hurdles. Sunshine Buddy couldn’t have wished for things to fall better in last week’s 1 and ¼ length course and distance success, suggesting that the follow-up is unlikely under a penalty and the race looks like being Annaluna’s to lose.
