Racing Tip: Beach Bar And Ryan Moore The Value Against Baarez In Haydock's 3.10
Beach Bar The Value In Haydock’s 3.10
Leading jockey Ryan Moore must have a great chance of winning Haydock’s 2.40 on Wednesday afternoon when partnering the promising Tigrilla for trainer Roger Varian in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes but half an hour later both will be in rival camps as Moore will be hoping to see off Varian’s strongly-fancied lightly-raced top weight Baarez with his mount Beach Bar in the Follow@HaydockRaces On Twitter Handicap.
8 Horses have been declared for the one mile contest for 3-year-olds and Varian’s Baarez, the mount of Andrea Atzeni, could well be a blot on the handicap due to two very promising starts as a juvenile when finding only Mitraad too good on his debut in a Newmarket maiden, a run which was followed by a comfortable two length victory over one of tomorrow’s rivals, Rogue Wave, at Haydock last October for which the handicapper put the son of Hard Spun on a mark of 87. It is possible the promising colt could end the season on a much higher rating but on this occasion it could be worth opposing the 7-4 favourite ( Ladbrokes, Coral and Skybet ) with the William Knight-trained Beach Bar.
Brought along quietly as a 2-year-old the Azamour colt made little impression on his first outing when down the field in a Goodwood maiden but fared better on his second start when beaten just under six lengths at Leicester in September and with that experience under his belt Beach Bar finished the season with an easy win on Lingfield’s all-weather two month’s later. Sent off an 8-1 chance on his 3-year-old debut at Epsom in April and giving weight to his nine rivals Beach Bar beat all bar Chatez who was in receipt of 2lb. The form of that race race is now looking very strong with the winner having gone up 20lb in the ratings courtesy of a half length victory in the valuable Betfred Mobile Casino Silver Bowl Stakes last month. Ryan Moore’s mount has improved with each of his four runs to date and looks value at the guaranteed 4-1 available with Bet365, Betvictor and Coral to improve yet again on what could be a lenient mark of 84.
