Reading To Win Basement Battle
Football legend Matt Le Tisser fancies Reading to maintain their good form against fellow strugglers Wigan in the Premier League this afternoon.
Reading have started 2013 in a rich vein of form which belies their lowly position in the Premier League. The Royals have won three of their last six games and managed to hold Chelsea to a draw at the Madejski Stadium with defeats coming in tricky away trips to Tottenham and Stoke.
Matt Le Tissier tips: “Reading v Wigan is a massive game for those sides in fear of relegation. With Southampton just four points off the drop zone it will be one I’ll be keeping a keen eye on. And it’s the hosts I fancy in the form they’ve displayed of late. They’ve shown real hunger and 8/5 with Betfred looks a good price.”
Wigan are on a terrible run, picking up just three points from a possible eighteen in 2013 and winning only one of their last thirteen Premier League matches. It’s hard to see the Latics doing any better today against an in-form Reading side who have earned 78% of their points at home this season.
