Stokes To Open Scoring In Celtic Cup Final Rout
Football expert Matt Le Tissier has a Scottish FA Cup Final tip for the match between Hibernian and Celtic at Hampden Park today.
Hibernian’s last win in the final was against Celtic, but unfortunately for their long-suffering fans that was 111 years ago. Of their nine failed Cup final appearances since, four have been at the hands of Celtic and the Glasgow side look poised to inflict more pain on Hibs who were humiliated by a 5-1 defeat to their city rivals Hearts in last season’s final.
Celtic, who haven’t failed to score in 2013 have won their last two games with a 4-0 scoreline and appear to be back in the goal-scoring groove after a couple of below-par performances. Hibernian ended the season well with three wins in a row, but their inconsistent form over the campaign has resulted in them missing out on the European places.
Matt Le Tissier Tips: “Celtic’s form wobbled a bit after they were crowned SPL Champions, but they’ve bounced back emphatically in their previous two games and they will be too strong for Hibs. Best Odds for Neil Lennon’s side are 2/5 which doesn’t make much appeal in terms of value, so I’d be tempted to go with Anthony Stokes first scorer at best odds 5/1 with William Hill coupled with a Correct Score bet of 3-1 to the Hoops at best odds 11/1 with the same firm”
In the last game between these sides in the SPL this season Celtic were in devastating form, hitting three goals without reply in a one sided affair. Anthony Stokes has been in superb form lately and has found the net in each of Celtic’s last three SPL games.
