Swansea Can Derail Gunners
Premier League legend Matt Le Tissier tips Swansea to derail league leaders Arsenal when they clash at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
The Swans won’t fear the Premier League’s form side having defeated Arsenal 3-2 at the Liberty Stadium on their return to the top flight two seasons ago and gave the Gunners a further shock when winning 2-0 at the Emirates last season. Michael Laudrup’s side have recovered from a bumpy start to the season and had won three and drawn one in four games going into the League Cup game in midweek. Swansea paid the price for fielding a weakened side when beaten 3-1 by Birmingham but Laudrup will recall his big guns for the game against Arsenal this weekend.
Matt Le Tissier tips: “Arsenal are flying at present but Swansea could derail the Gunners in the evening kick-off down in Wales. They’re unbeaten in their last three and received a standing ovation from the Valencia fans having bashed the Spanish side in their own back yard 3-0 recently.
They could be tough for Arsenal to break down and, although the Swansea double chance is short at 4/6 with bwin, it looks worth a punt. Michu could be the man to unravel Arsenal, he’s scored five in all competitions so far this season and three times against Saturday’s opponents, he’s 15/2 at Winner to score first and 5/2 to score at anytime”
Arsenal have not looked back since losing 3-1 at home to Aston Villa on the opening day of the season and if you count the midweek win on penalties against West Brom in the League Cup, the Gunners have won all eight games since. Wengers men travel well and must be respected away from home when they have won their last 11 games on the road.
