Tottenham vs Chelsea Betting Offers and Odds

They say that life comes at you fast, well for Premier League managers it comes quicker than most.

The concerns that many Chelsea fans had about Thomas Tuchel replacing Frank Lampard have already begun to wane after some promising signs from this first two games in charge.

In contrast, doom and gloom has set in at Tottenham with alarming speed and Jose Mourinho may well find himself deeper in the mire come Thursday night as we make Chelsea the worthy favourites to win this London derby at 11/10 with bet365.

The real worry for Tottenham fans is that they feel as though they’ve seen this all before.

The lack of quality in Spurs’ performances of late – most notably in the defeats to Liverpool and Brighton – were reminiscent of the flat displays turned in by Mourinho teams of old towards the end of his tenure at other clubs.

Chelsea fans know more than most about what happens when things go wrong for a team managed by Mourinho.

They, however, are at the complete opposite end of the spectrum with Thomas Tuchel still working very hard to impose his style on the Blues.

The win over Burnley on the weekend was an encouraging sign of things to come but Chelsea were frustrated against Wolves in Tuchel’s first match in charge.

Tottenham may be desperately short of ideas in an attacking sense but they should be able to make Chelsea work hard for every chance so a bet on a goalless first half looks well priced at 7/4 with bet365.

Key Battle to Look Out For

Tottenham were always likely to find it tougher to create chances and score goals with Harry Kane out injured but few expected them to fall apart defensively in the way they have lately.

Mourinho has changed from a back-four to a back-three and then switched back again during matches.

However he lines Spurs up, they will find it hard to cope with the resurgent Callum Hudson-Odoi.

He has been employed as an aggressive wing-back by Tuchel and can find enough space down the left of Tottenham’s defence to score the opening goal on Thursday at 9/1 with 888sport.
