The first ever UEFA Nations League kicks off its inaugural tournament in Cardiff. League B heavyweights, Wales and Ireland, face each other in what is said to be a massive game. Wales manager, Ryan Giggs, has pulled in sheer talent for his 25 man squad. Gareth Bale is forward, with the likes of Paul Dumemt – who hasn’t played for Wales since 2015 – back into the squad. After an impressive season, Cherries star, David Brooks, has also earned a call up to the squad.
Wales have got a long fight ahead of them, especially when compared to Ireland. In the past eight matches the two teams have played against each other, Ireland has come up with the goods. Likewise, Ireland won 1-0 in Cardiff last year, so they’ll be pushing hard to replicate that success. Ireland are the stronger out of the two and the favourites are tipped in their direction, but it will be tough.
