Current holders Manchester City look to defend their status as holders of the FA Cup after defeating bitter rivals Manchester United in last year’s final on the road to their historic treble. After finding fantastic form in 2023 that now sits them fourth in the Premier League, Unai Emery’s men will feel like they can be legitimate contenders for silverware this season.
Despite things not quite clicking at the club, it is Chelsea who are favourites to win the game at home at 21/20. Poch’s side have bags of individual quality, but can they go all the way and claim his first English honour?
League form, and 22 points difference, would suggest that eighth-place Brighton should better a Sheffield United currently battling relegation as the bottom league side. The Blades have picked up just one league win in ten of their last outings, and unsurprisingly have the worst record for goals scored and goals conceded.
Although, when the teams last met, the points were shared as De Zerbi’s men were stunted at home. Can Sheffield United replicate this as they look to give their season a boost?
With little to separate the two sides currently, the winner of Fulham v Newcastle is a close call to make. Both teams have won just one of their last five league games, with five points separating them in the table.
Eddie Howe’s men gained some much-needed confidence in the last round as they breezed past their Championship rivals Sunderland in the first Tyne-Wear derby win for The Magpies in 12 years.
After being knocked out of all other competitions, Newcastle’s remaining hopes of a trophy this season rest on the FA Cup, with 10/1 odds priced on them to win the trophy.

Elsewhere, Luton visit Goodison Park to face Sean Dyche’s Everton side who only narrowly edged past Crystal Palace in the third round replay. Despite facing adversity this season after receiving a point’s deduction, the Toffees have reacted positively with impressive performances amongst the team’s encouraging form.
Only a single point behind Everton in the league, Luton will feel there’s little between the sides and they have a real chance of progressing in the cup. The Hatters find themselves at 6/1 to qualify at the first time of asking.
Potential Giant Killings
Maidenhead’s visit to Championship high-flyers Ipswich epitomises what the FA Cup represents, and the Non-League flagbearers will have the support of neutrals when they go in pursuits of the Fifth Round for the first time in their modern history.
For Ipswich Town, and Kieran McKenna, they will be hoping it will be business as usual as they look to sweep Maidenhead aside. Statistics and current status would favour Ipswich’s dominance to be pending as a side who have only lost once at home since August, against Premier League side Fulham.
Understandably they are massive favourites at 1/10, but the downfall for Ipswich could be their lack of squad depth. The Championship is a demanding league, and as they remain in other competitions whilst pushing for promotion, they may have to field a slightly weakened squad in an attempt to rest key players.
One of the highlights of the Fourth Round draw will see 12-time winners, Premier League giants Manchester United visit League Two’s Newport County. Despite Rodney Parade having hosted other Premier League sides in recent times, there’s no doubt the modest ground will witness a full and raucous support of a full 7,850 person capacity.
The Exiles have only ever made it to the Fifth Round twice in their history, most recently in 2019, where they were knocked out by eventual winners Manchester City. Could they match that achievement once again by upsetting the red side of Manchester?
Erik Ten Hag’s side remain under the spotlight with plenty news filling headlines regarding their status both on and off the pitch. After being dumped out of the Champions League, and currently sat 11 points off the top four; could the FA Cup provide the only avenue for United to achieve a trophy and European football this year.
Should they be able to avoid an upset at the hands of Newport County, the Red Devils are priced at 8/1 to go on and win the tournament.
