The Seagulls left it extremely late (99th minute) to pick off Manchester United last week and complete an impressive league double.

Roberto de Zerbi’s men are just two points behind Liverpool, but they have two games in hand, and they are in a good spot.

The same can’t be said for Everton who can’t seem to buy a win — their last league victory came against Brentford in March — and they are facing a race against time to stay afloat.

This match will be fascinating for different reasons, but how will it pan out?

We have done the groundwork by providing a full lowdown as well as picking out a couple of intriguing lines from the betting markets for you to chew over ahead of kick-off.

Seagulls to swoop in on luckless Everton

Things are getting quite sticky at the bottom for the Toffees (excuse the pun!), and they are one of four teams that could go down.

Southampton appear to be dead and buried, and Everton need to get some kind of result at the AmEx Stadium.

Although Everton have the makings of a good squad, they have managed a meagre 27 goals which is dismal reading.

Brighton, on the other hand, have been fabulous since Roberto de Zerbi succeeded Graham Potter, and they could well pip Liverpool to fifth spot.

When the sides last met earlier in the season, the Seagulls claimed a handsome 4-1 victory at Goodison Park.

It could be another tough day for Everton, and Brighton should come out on top. Instead of going for the Correct Score, I am siding with Brighton to win and BTTS for my first pick, which is trading at 9/5 with Paddy Power.

Our Top Value Pick For The Monday Clash

Alexis MacAllister to score with a set-piece peach

Having lifted the World Cup with Argentina last December, Alexis MacAllister has been producing the goods for his country too, and he is enjoying his football.

He has stepped things up in front of goal, netting nine times for Brighton, and he is a constant threat.

Surprisingly, he has only scored once with a set-piece, but should a promising free-kick situation, MacAllister will put his hand up.

If you like a match special, I have gone with MacAllister to net with a free-kick, which is available at 16/1 with William Hill.
