Four Selections For The Last Round On Sunday

Erling Haaland – Brentford v MANCHESTER CITY

Manchester City, the recently crowned champions, will no doubt be given a traditional guard of honour by Brentford when they visit west London on Sunday afternoon.

And you can imagine Pep Guardiola’s charges will want to let their hair down, although they will of course hope to come through unscathed with an FA Cup Final and then Champions League Final on the horizon.

Erling Haaland is the archetypal goalscoring machine, and while he is unlikely to reach the 40-goal milestone (unless he scores four), you would never want to neglect him in the scoring markets.

Brentford, meanwhile, are still in the hunt for European football, and they could overhaul Aston Villa into seventh spot and snatch a Europa League Conference spot.

But don’t expect Haaland’s golden touch to desert him. To kick off this acca, I have gone with Haaland at a very short 8/11 to net anytime during the 90 minutes.

Harry Kane – Leeds v TOTTENHAM

Leeds have leaked goals left, right, and centre (74 to be precise), which is more than Southampton and Leicester who occupy the other two spots in the bottom three.

Sam Allardyce has a battle on his hands to keep Leeds afloat, and his side were dismantled with ease as they succumbed with barely a whimper in their 3-1 defeat to West Ham last weekend.

Tottenham are clinging onto the hope of European football, albeit Europa League Conference, but they shot themselves in the foot with a 3-1 reverse at home to Brentford.

A mural had been unveiled of Kane before the game, but it could well be his final appearance for Tottenham if transfer speculation is to be believed.

And perhaps his parting gift could be his 29th league goal of the campaign, albeit one in a losing cause. Kane, unsurprisingly, is available at 21/20 to find the target.

Roberto Firmino – Southampton v LIVERPOOL

Roberto Firmino gave the Kop an emotional farewell in his final game at Anfield last weekend against Aston Villa, and he has served with distinction.

He netted a last-gasp equaliser, and it could turn out to be a vital point in the race for Champions League football.

A favour or two before Sunday from Newcastle and Manchester United would be warmly welcomed, but the Brazilian could well score against Southampton, whose fate was sealed a couple of games ago.

Perhaps Firmino will be given more than an 18-minute cameo, but he could well net, and he’s available at 11/8 to do so.

Marcus Rashford – MANCHESTER UNITED v Fulham

Given his remarkable run of form and tireless efforts, there was bound to be a time when the goals would slow down for Marcus Rashford.

United will be hoping to have sealed a top-four spot before the final day of the season, but if they haven’t, then they may require a special performance from a big-match player.

Rashford has plundered home 16 goals in the league, and while Fulham are far from easy fodder, the England international could well breach the Cottagers’ defence during the 90 minutes, and he’s at 10/11 to do so.
