Tizz Talks: 10/1 & 13/2 Premier League Betting Tips

Sunday Premier League Tips

It’s a bumper card for Super Sunday with four games taking place in the 2pm time slot and Liverpool hosting Tottenham for the 16:30pm match. I have picked out a 13/2 treble for the 2pm fixtures, as well as a 10/1 bet builder for the later game, both of which have been backed with Paddy Power.

Liverpool vs Tottenham preview

Liverpool and Spurs will be looking to end their season on some kind of positive note having both endured disappointing campaigns. The Reds have been strong at home all season but their away form has been disastrous, the reason why they are still in seventh place despite winning their last three league games. Given the fact we are at Anfield and Spurs haven’t won any of their last 12 games (in all competitions) against Jurgen Klopp’s men it is difficult to see them picking up three points here on Sunday. Liverpool have also found scoring quite easy against the North Londoners in recent times, scoring at least twice in nine of their last 11 games in all competitions. For my bet builder this week I have had a look at the player markets and I think we will see a lot of fouls. Hojbjerg and Fabinho aren’t blessed with pace and are two places who won’t think twice about making a ‘tactical foul’. I think Cristian Romero at 9/5 to be given a card is very backable given his disciplinary record against creative teams who have large spells of possession and dominance. I think Harry Kane is a pretty safe bet for a shot on target and he is the final component of this bet.

  • Hojbjerg to commit 1+ fouls
  • Fabinho to commit 2+ fouls
  • Romero to be carded

Liverpool vs Tottenham Predictions

Match at Anfield is looking promising

Match Stats

  • Liverpool have scored at least two goals in nine of their last 11 matches against Spurs in all competitions.
  • The Reds are unbeaten in all of their last 12 games at Anfield against Spurs in all competitions.
  • All of Liverpool’s last four games have produced at least three goals.
  • Liverpool are unbeaten in their last eight home games in the league (W6, D2).
  • Spurs have taken just two points from their last five Premier League away games.
  • Fabinho has received nine yellow cards in 26 Premier League appearances.
  • Eight of Cristian Romero’s last nine yellow cards have come against teams in the top half of the league.

Team News

Calvin Ramsay, Roberto Firmino, Stefan Bajcetic and Naby Keita will all miss the clash while Diogo Jota and Ibrahima Konate are both doubts for the hosts. As for Spurs Emmerson Royal, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur remain sidelined with Ryan Sessegnon and Hugo Lloris facing late fitness tests.

Sam's Top Selections For Super Sunday

Bournemouth vs Leeds United - Bournemouth to win (6/4)

A crucial game for two sides looking to distance themselves from the bottom-three this weekend as Bournemouth host Leeds at the Vitality Stadium. I am of the opinion that a win for the hosts would be enough for them to avoid relegation, as I can’t see any of Leeds, Everton, Forest, Leicester or Southampton reaching 39 points. That is some incentive for The Cherries to get the job done in front of their home fans on Sunday and it is probably their most likely source of a win in their remaining five games. With three wins from their last four games and five wins from their last eight games they are definitely the form side of the two teams. The Mighty Whites have taken just one point from their last four games and have conceded 14 goals during that time.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa - Both teams to score (13/20)

This has the potential to be a cracker with Aston Villa likely to give Manchester United a really difficult time at Old Trafford. Unai Emery has guided The Villains to 26 points from their last 10 league games, the turnaround has been absolutely remarkable. When Emery took over from Steven Gerrard Villa occupied 17th place in the league table. The manager deserves enormous credit for getting Aston Villa into sixth place with European football looking highly likely for next season. Given that Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 14 league games at Old Trafford it is highly likely that they will bag this weekend. The visitors have scored in all of their last nine away games in the division so both teams to score is my standout bet for this one.

Newcastle United vs Southampton - Newcastle -1 handicap (5/6)

At this moment in time it’s hard to argue that Newcastle, Manchester City and Brighton are the two most entertaining teams to watch. The Magpies are playing with a real swagger and are blitzing opponents, especially at St James Park. The Saints look to have already thrown the towel in and seem destined for Championship football next season, with just three points taken from their last eight games. I think there is the potential for Southampton to take a trouncing here if Newcastle get an early goal and the Toon Army have found the net 17 times in their last five games. As we all know Newcastle also boast the next defence in the league and for that reason I will be backing Eddie Howe’s men with a -1 handicap on Sunday.
