Made in HimmerLand Betting Tips

Perhaps one intriguing thing, is that instead of a traditional trophy, the winner will be awarded with what essentially looks like a very smart fruit bowl.

Oliver Wilson, who recently qualified for The Open at the British Masters last weekend, is one of the past champions alongside Matt Wallace and Bernd Wiesberger.

Although the Austrians and Brits have performed well at the Made in HimmerLand, the tournament is awaiting the first native champion.

But who will prevail in Denmark this week? I have sourced a couple of tips that are worth adding to your betting slips.

Thorbjorn Olesen to fly the flag for Denmark

A seven-time winner on the DP World Tour, and currently 10th in the Race to Dubai, Thorbjorn Olesen knows how to get the job done. There have been a few changes to the Made in HimmerLand course over the past few years, and some of the holes on the back nine (11-15) are quite undulating and they have bentgrass greens.

Meanwhile, the signature 16th hole, a par-three, is the shortest hole on the DP World Tour.

So, some scrambling and accurate putting will be in order this week. Olesen’s stroke average this season (70.03) puts him in fourth spot in the rankings for that metric, he is a bit lower in the sand saves stat.

That said, Olesen has hit a bit of form lately, and aside from a third-place finish at the Soudal Open last month, he came home in T15 at the British Masters.

For my first pick, I have gone with Olesen to take the honours and enter the winner’s circle. If you fancy following up on that, Olesen is available at a juicy 22/1 with bet365.

Oliver Wilson to have another productive week

Having punched his ticket to The Open later this month with a T2 at the British Masters when he wound up on -8, two adrift of the winning score posted by New Zealander Daniel Hillier.

Although Wilson is the Made in HimmerLand defending champion, it could be a tough task to repeat the feat.

Judging by the past few weeks, Wilson is trending in the right direction, and he will want to be in the mix come the final round.

However, a top-10 finish is eminently achievable, and for my second pick, I have gone with Wilson to do that. Once again, bet365 has obliged, and you can locate shorter odds of 6/1 for a top-10 finish for Wilson.
