So, if you are looking for a bet in the Premier League this weekend, here is what we fancy across each game.
Everton v Manchester United – 12:30pm
A game between two teams going through a tough time. United desperate to keep up with the top four race, and Everton desperate to avoid being dragged into the relegation positions.
Finding the winner will depend on which Manchester United side turns up on the day, but regardless of the winner, one thing we do fancy is goals.
United have been recently involved in 4-2, 4-1 and 3-2 games, while on Wednesday, Everton found themselves in a five goal thriller against Burnley.
Both need the points, both have shown strong attacking intent combined with weakness at the back, so let’s go with over 3.5 goals here, available at 2/1 with bet365 to kick us off.
Arsenal v Brighton – 3:00pm
Arsenal come here on the back of a thumping at Crystal Palace, and the top four race is well and truly on. It’s time to sink or swim for this young Gunners side, but what will they do?
We fancy them to swim, and bounce back with a bang against a Brighton team that have not won for seven Premier League games, and they’ve lost six of those.
Combine that with The Seagulls scoring just one goal in that seven game period, and this looks to be there for the taking for The Gunners.
A comfortable Arsenal 3-0 win to bounce back is our pick here.
Southampton v Chelsea – 3:00pm
The Blues are here on the back of a 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid and a 4-1 thumping from Brentford. If ever there was a time to bounce back, it is now, as the fight for the top four draws them in.
A quick look at the form book and you’ll see Southampton haven’t won in their last four, a perfect game for Chelsea to get back on track. However, they are not going to have it easy.
The Saints have managed to hold many top teams at home this season, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham have all taken home a point but no more from their travels.
Let’s back the same fate for Chelsea, a draw is the pick here.
Watford v Leeds – 3:00pm
Two wins and a draw from their last three and Leeds are almost safe. How Watford would love to go on that kind of run right now as they look to survive.
They are playing Leeds at the wrong time, with the Yorkshire side heading in the right direction and with their confidence back.
Watford have conceded 10 goals in their last four, while the last three Leeds games have seen both teams score. Let’s go with a Leeds win and both teams to score here, a result that would surely almost secure Leeds’ position in the Premier League for another season.
Aston Villa v Tottenham – 5:30pm
It is fair to say Tottenham are on fire right now. They’ve won five of their last six games, scoring 21 goals in those six games, an incredible run in front of goal.
Villa come here on the back of three defeats, and are in a bad position in many ways, with nothing to play for between now and the end of the season.
With that in mind, this could be another strong day for the Tottenham front line, and we are going to 888 for a builder on the game to combine two scorers together.
Odds of 7/2 appeal enough for both Harry Kane and Son to get on the scoresheet in this one, which rounds off our Saturday Premier League best bets.
