“Rocket” Ronnie O’Sullivan the pick on debut at 7/2

The unique Six-red World Snooker Championship is back for the first time post-pandemic, inviting 32 of the world’s best potters to Bangkok, Thailand.

It’s the 12th edition of this exciting tournament, one that has seen nine different winners since its inception in 2008.

Stephen Maguire arrives in Bangkok as the reigning champion, but Ronnie O’Sullivan will be one of the main attractions in Thailand making his first appearance at the tournament.

We’re here to take a closer look at some of the outright tournament betting ahead of the 2023 Snooker Six-red World Championship. Check out our fancies below:

Ronnie O’Sullivan to win the 2023 Snooker Six-red World Championship – 7/2 at bet365

You can count on one hand the number of snooker trophies that Ronnie O’Sullivan has gaps for in his cabinet.

You can count on only a couple of fingers how many tournaments the “Rocket” hasn’t ever featured in before, but the Six-red World Championship ticks both those boxes.

O’Sullivan has a big following in Thailand and will be the star on the baize this week in Bangkok.

With his aggressive style and rapid break-building looking a nice mix with the short format, O’Sullivan at 7/2 is a cracking front-runner in the 32-player field.

He has Jimmy Robertson, James Wattana and Stan Moody to navigate in a very winnable Group H.

Robert Milkins to win Group E at the 2023 Snooker Six-red World Championship – 11/8 at bet365

After scooping February’s Welsh Open, Robert Milkins is certainly one to watch in Bangkok.

The 46-year-old is enjoying a rich run of form, reaching the semi-finals of the German Masters and the quarters at the Players.

He’s up against an out of form Matthew Selt, Chris Wakelin and Dechawat Poomjaeng in Group E but is more than capable of winning all three matches.

Hossein Vafaei to win the 2023 Snooker Six-red World Championship – (E/W) at 20/1 with bet365

Hossein Vafaei’s aggression on the table and willingness to go for every potting opportunity suits the Six-red World Championship.

The Iranian was a quarter-finalist here in 2015 but is 10x the player he was then.

The “Prince of Persia” has since gone on to record three ranking quarter-finals, two semi-finals and the title of the 2022 Snooker Shoot-out.

Grabbing Vafaei at E/W at 20/1 looks a good option in Bangkok.
