Luis Enrique’s men remain on course for a treble, and they brushed aside Real Sociedad 2-0 in midweek to take a commanding lead in their Round of 16 Champions League tie.

Before the return leg in Spain in a couple of weeks’ time, PSG must contend with three league games. But at the moment, they remain an unstoppable force, sitting a pretty 11 points clear at the summit.

In stark contrast, Nantes risk being sucked into a relegation battle, although they clung on last weekend to claim a priceless three points with a 2-1 win away to Toulouse.

PSG have represented something of a bogey team for Nantes, but can the hosts break the spell?

To whip up excitement for this clash, I have plunged into the betting markets and shared a couple of tips that you should consider adding to your slips.

No mistakes from the boys in blue

There has been something almost serene about PSG’s progress over the past few months.

Although it seemed like they were under pressure in the first half against Sociedad, PSG moved seamlessly through the gears and the gulf in class was evident in the second 45 minutes.

We have become accustomed over the past few campaigns to masterclasses from PSG, and they are well on course to better their title-winning tally of last term when they amassed 85 points.

As mentioned, PSG have invariably been good frontrunners with just a solitary league defeat, and they will want to put further distance between Nice et al.

Anyway, Nantes have found wins hard to come by against PSG, with their previous victory arriving two years ago, although they did make a good fist of things in the previous clash at the Parc des Princes before Randal Kolo Muani made a match-winning contribution.

PSG ostensibly to be in full control of their own destiny, and I don’t expect them to slip up against Nantes.

To sprinkle a bit more value to my opening line, I have gone with PSG to win & BTTS as they haven’t kept a clean sheet in their past three league outings. A price of 15/8 can be located at Paddy Power.

Bradley Barcola to apply finishing touches to win

Against Sociedad, Bradley Barcola came of age and he had arguably his best game in a PSG shirt to date.

An eye-catching solo goal heralded his first goal in the Champions League, and to a certain extent, he proved there may well be life after Kylian Mbappe, who has been inextricably linked with a move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Two goals in his past four appearances in all competitions isn’t a bad return, and Barcola boasts plenty of pace and he can be a nightmare for defenders to deal with.

For my second pick, I’ve gone with Barcola to grab the last of the game which is available at 10/1 with bet365.
