Touted by many as relegation candidates prior to the start of the season, Wolves have looked decidedly more assured in recent weeks.

Currently 11th in the table, a draw will be enough to see them leapfrog Chelsea, who have the Carabao Cup Final to look forward to on the same day against Liverpool.

In stark contrast, United have had a dismal campaign, and they are coming off the back of a 5-0 capitulation at home to Brighton last weekend.

To exacerbate things, a reckless Mason Holgate challenge that was upgraded to red following a VAR review means they will be bereft of his services at Molineux.

The Blades are fast running out of time to keep their heads above water, but can they complete a league double over Wolves? I have rummaged through the betting markets and handpicked a couple of tips for your consideration.

Wolves to keep things nice and tight

There will be a good feeling around Molineux, especially given the way Wolves acquitted themselves against Tottenham last weekend, and they left North London with all three points.

The magical 40-point barrier is usually enough for safety, and Wolves, who have accrued 35 points to date, don’t have any existential relegation fears.

However, the same can’t be said for United, who have found things tough to say the least.

The Blades have conceded 65 goals, and they have lost five league games by a margin of five or more goals this term, the joint-highest alongside Derby County (2007-08).

Wolves, meanwhile, have hit form at just the opportune time, racking up five wins from their last eight outings, although two of those defeats came at home, and the last time they lost three on the bounce at home was between October and December 2022.

United, who claimed a 2-1 win against Wolves earlier this term, will be hoping to complete a rare league double.

Given the manner of their defeats of late, it wouldn’t be surprising if United crumbled again. But rather than plump on a scoreline, I have gone with Wolves to keep a clean sheet and to win to nil which is available at a tempting 6/4 with Paddy Power.

Hwang Hee-chan to use his head to good effect

Although this is by far his most productive campaign in a Wolves shirt with 10 Premier League goals to his name, Hwang Hee-chan has yet to find the target in 2024.

His last strike arrived in a 4-1 win away to Brentford in December, but he carries an attacking threat.

So far this term, Hwang has only scored twice from headers, but Wolves may look to pump plenty of balls into the box to expose any vulnerabilities from the visitors.

Of course, they have midfield wizards like Pedro Neto to dictate proceedings, who has registered nine assists, the most of any Wolves player this term.

But rather than a player goal/assist combo wager, I have eschewed this option for Hwang to break his drought, and to find the back of the net with a header. An eye-catching 16/1 price awaits at bet365 for those who fancy it.
